Despite this movies flaws, I’m glad they made a better version of Atom Smasher than the Arrowverse, and brought Cyclone to life. People probably saw her, and decided to look her up. Now, she’s probably popular, again.

I can answer your questions. Atom smasher was actually released before Deadpool (in comics) but for adapting Atom smasher into live action dc used the same technology fox used for Deadpool’s mask. As for powers and color scheme, his costume colors are actually based on The first atom Albert Pratt who had red and blue, and for powers I’m not sure if he’s connected to Ray Palmers Atom who actually had size altering powers and was released before Ant-Man by 2 years but if he is then there’s your answer.

@@ThallVic All the power comes from the helmet, obviously a younger host would be a better fighter but when you have the power of multiple gods in your helmet your age wouldn’t matter. Because of this Dr. Fate in the comics mostly stayed out of conflict and let “fate” play out

Those guys only showed up when Black Adam appeared. They were silent when bad guys are hurting people. But when their saviour came, they wanted to interfere. Good.

I watched it too and thought of that but I think it has to do with how they kinda aren’t street level problems in a way? Like green arrow, or the teen titans might have intervened but these guys are kinda heavy hitters and from what they saw was the return of the dude who nearly destroyed his own civilization because he couldn’t control his powers

These are two different characters, the one in the Flash is just The Atom. Atom Smasher is a separate comic character - one grows small and the other grows big

It would have been more interesting if Carter Hall/Hawkman, Nabu/Dr. Fate, and Teth-Adam/Black Adam, had known each other, and perhaps the first two had been responsible for Black Adam's imprisonment, at the request of the Council of Wizards. Carter wouldn't remember this due to his reincarnation cycle, but Nabu would.

Wish they could have kept this movie focused on Adam and Fate. Once the movie tries to make EVERY character OP and High Priority, it starts dying. And, that's with all the superhero movies. Having too many characters usually dilutes the story and makes it even more unbelievable.

The only way having multiple OP characters work is by also having multiple OP or a singular OP villain to compete with. Black Adam is not on the level of a super team buster. Usually a team-up of Superman and Shazam is enough to take him. Even here, Dr.Fate should have been more than enough. DC does have the league of villains though, who have a varied range of strong characters, if they can do something with them in the way Marvel did Thanos, it would make for a better team-up movie cause you need more than 1 OP hero to fight multiple OP villains.

Irony is, that Superman is a bad option against Black Adam. Because he's weak to magic. Couple that with the fact that those blessed with the wizard's power have an endless reservoir of magic...Superman will tire before Black Adam or Shazam will.

"birdman" or rather Hawkman has tech that is anti-magic (the mace). He is quite strong as well cause they are one of the rivals of the green lanterns (the scarabs being the other ones). I haven't watched this movie yet, so I'm going to assume that these heroes preceded Superman's time. As in, they formed before Superman and the Justice League.
