FILM DESCRIPTION:
Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) are the team behind the popular tabloid-TV show "Skylark Tonight." After learning that North Korea's Kim Jong Un (Randall Park) is a huge fan of the show, they successfully set up an interview with him, hoping to legitimize themselves as actual journalists. However, as Dave and Aaron prepare for their journey to Pyongyang, the CIA steps in, recruits them, and assigns them an incredible mission: Assassinate the dictator.

@teej6632 Sure, alot of people know each other in the "industry" but to me, there's a difference between friend and acquaintance. These 3 (Franco, rogan, caplan) have been friends since the early 2000s, and typically appear in films with each other. Similar lesser known friendships are Toby maguire and Leonardo dicaprio, they've been friends less they were teens (early 90s/late 80s ithink).

Anyone else see this in the theatre? I was pulled and then put out as very limited release; I saw it in SJ, CA with tons of weird added security, including searching any of us who had backpacks (didn't just search our backpacks). Movie started 30 minutes late, and by that time, a lot of us were actually pretty annoyed....then Seth Rogan came on the screen with a recorded message: "Thank you for seeing out movie. Just by being here, every one of you is a g-----n f-----g American HERO!" Everyone cheered...good memory.
