This channel is absolutely underrated for the content quality. I really like the keyboard btw

I appreciate that!

Amazing content. Currently printing parts for a primo, this info is very helpful!

Love the content. Surprisingly hard to find little more than cutting footage for this project. I have all of the trucks, the core and the corners printed. Just need to do the feet and a all of the little parts-- and reprint the core at 70% infill because I sliced it for 45% like all of the other parts, but i'll still use it for my initial set up and testing

Yes slower is not always better unless you can slow down your spindle speed to match. Running the spindle too fast with too slow of a feed will burn that endmill right up. Amazing work on that keyboard. Can't wait to see it in person.

I’m sub from the first video i saw 😂 Great content Brian🤙🏻 To avoid breaks or chip outs, you could try to wet the holes before insert the inserts. Udine the soldering iron like for 3d prints is not a good idea

Seems pretty damn amazing for a relatively inexpensive cnc.

Feeds and speeds are a lot more important than expensive end mills. Milling dynamics can be complicated but there are a few simple equations you can use to calculate generic feeds and speeds.

Hi Brian, Would you mind sharing a link or part number for the $16 bit you used? Thanks!

I know it varies for every machine but if you could give a rough guide as to the feeds and speeds you had success with that would be amazing, please! Think I may be going way too slow with mine but also sceptical about going faster as I just imagine lots of skipping and broken bits.

Yeah for sure. I never cut faster than 30in/min with the MPCNC. You may want to try 20in/min as well. Also try 0.05" depth of cut. 2D Adaptive cuts are going to be your friend, and always plunge spiral down if you're entering the stock from the top. If you do a 2D adaptive, try a lighter load, maybe like 0.05 optimal load. I would start with a 1/4" Single Flute (the one in my description worked well, apologies for the plug) and that should give you a good start. If you don't want to spend $16 on one end mill, there are other 1/4" single flute end mills that should work just as well on Amazon. I hope that helps!

@@ProjectsbyBrian thank you for the advice, and awesome work! I’ll convert everything to metric and get to work 😊
