Have you checked the basics? - Radiator is clean - Coolant is full - Fan is operating - Coolant is flowing(Can check by feeling radiator and cooling hoses are hot when the engine is operating) -Thermostat?

Yea I’m sure this will happen to most mules until the updated dipstick tube is installed. Hopefully this video can guide you through getting the job done 👍🏼

@@LazyDWorx Thank you for contacting Kawasaki. We regret to hear that you are having trouble with your recently purchased Mule. The dipstick may have became corroded by short tripping the vehicle. If the previous owner did not let the unit get up to operating temperature when they used the Mule it could have caused crankcase condensation to become trapped in the engine causing the dipstick to rust. Also not changing the oil frequently could also have played a factor. The dipstick tube was updated in model year 2018 to help with this concern. Your model has the updated part. We would recommend having the affected dipstick replaced and to get the unit to operating temperatures when using the machine. Please don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of further service. The above is what Kawasaki replied to me. Apparently mine had the updated dipstick, apparently it doesnt fix the problem

@@michaelbrown7387 That’s no fun, sorry you’re going through that. Best case is to install a new part and keep up on oil changes. How many hours on your unit?

@@LazyDWorx its all good. I sent them a letter more to let them know they got a problem. They didnt seem to receptive. Oh well, ordered a new dipstick and we shall see how it goes. It only has 70 hours

I’m not sure when they updated this issue but when I looked up the parts for this 2015 the existing (old style) tube is not listed as an available part. Just something to keep an eye on.

Was just curious if I could try your part numbers on Partzilla to change position of tube/gage. Really don't want to go back to original location because of rust and condensation problem already rusted original gage.

@@LazyDWorx Yep, just did a 150 hr and the dipstick was rusted very badly with water in the tube and rust. Seems like short trips don't burn off the condensation. Maybe that's why the new tube is so close to the exhaust?

@@brandonparrott5382 Nice thought, that makes sense, that could be exactly why it has been changed. The only “special tool” you need to do the job is the clutch pulling tool. If you don’t have one they’re available cheap on Amazon. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

@@LazyDWorx I have a 2015 also and this video is a life saver. The dealer had been acting like I was the only one having problems but that is clearly not the case since I've seen this issue a lot. I'm using your numbers. Thanks
