@@ryanlemons3255 Hi receivers with telemetry "D" and 8 channels . Normaly they have allready A 1and A 2 analog inputs already in the receiver. Note that this tunning is necessary for any receiver,the problem it is in the module not in the receiver. The FrSky receivers a all tunned from factory.

With Edge tx v2.9.4 the fine tuning is automatic. You tell it to do it, about 30 seconds later, it's done. And if you think about it, programming this would be quite easy, just run it up and down, to exhaustion on each side, note the exit points, and then enter the median. We won't have to do this much more.
@RCVideoReviews
@RCVideoReviews 2 ай бұрын
Not true. Fine tuning isn't an EdgeTX feature. It's part of the MPM code. If Fine Tuning appears with the protocol you select, you should perform it.

Thanks for explaining! I've done the finetuning since the start. Every time I forget to set it, I get lots of 'Telemetry lost' warnings. So it's very important. But my question is, why finetuning has to be done only once. Can't the sweet spot differ between different receivers of the same protocol? I've a friend telling me that he did it with different RX of the HOTT protocol and hat difference in finetuning up to 50 points on the scale. This is much. Maybe we should do it with every single receiver?
@RCVideoReviews
@RCVideoReviews 2 жыл бұрын
1) The MPM developer probably knows more about RF than most, and here are the exact words from the manual: "Once the Fine Tuning value is known, it can be used for all models which use the same protocol." 2) Other TX's don't even have a fine tune option. The reason is because the manufacturers of TX and RX specify the frequencies to use--precisely, and they tune the TX/RX to those frequencies which is why the fine tune option didn't really exist until we had an MPM. So if stock TXs don't have a fine tune option, doesn't that imply the RX using a given protocol will always use the same frequency? I mean for a lot of years I've bound FrSky Xx, Dx, Sx, Lx receivers without ever adjusting the frequency on any radio--until the MPM. 3) Sounds like HOTT has a QA problem. At the end of the day, it's your money, your hobby--do what you think is best. I'll trust the actual developer of the code who specifically wrote it's not necessary until my radio gives me a reason to believe something else.

Thanks for showing this. I’m using edgetx on my TX16S. My RSSI doesn’t change from zero but my rx will change to indicate signal loss. Is there a way to activate the RSSI?
@RCVideoReviews
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
If RSSI is sent from Rx to Tx it will be presented on the calibration screen. There is no need or option to add it. You can discover sensors on the telemetry screen to use RSSI elsewhere in your setup but the RSSI value shown in the fine tune section is sensor independent. i.e. It is displayed if it is sent/supported.

Does a specktrum or a lemon needs this tunning? What are tthe signs that your radio is not using correct tuning, los of signal and crash? thanks
@RCVideoReviews
@RCVideoReviews 6 ай бұрын
If frequency fine tuning appears when you select a protocol, it's suggested to do it. It's not quite as clear cut as "loss of signal and crash". It's more like listening to the radio in your car when you start getting farther away from the source--it kind of starts to fade and you hear interference, eventually you can't hear it at all. Better example is tuning in UHF channels on an OTA Analog TV. The closer you get to the center freq, the better the picture.

If you look on the product link at Hobbyking, the protocol is specified in the description: hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-9x-2-4ghz-8ch-receiver-v2.html Protocol: AFHDS Then look at the MPM protocol page here: github.com/pascallanger/DIY-Multiprotocol-TX-Module/blob/master/Protocols_Details.md And you can see it supports AFHDS2A. I'm not sure if AFHDS2A is backward compatible with AFHDS, so the only thing to do is try. It is a FlySky protocol on the MPM.

I have bought Tx16s original one 4-1. Anyway's. I calibrated the gimble couple time but channel four which is ailerons right stick I'm on mode 2. When I don't touch it. Channel monitor shows stick jumping 1539 to 1540. Even if i have trim center. And Left stick rudder. jump as well by one point. So is this normal because i know there issue on these first original tx16s. Another thing is Multi set on SLT because I am using Tactic slt receiver. It showes rf freq problem is this isn't a telemetry that detect rssi. How I rf tune it? Oh and sometime it looses settings that i have to go add multi and slt. Odd behavior. i paid 85 for it and came with two tactic receiver. But disapointed these issue which I have no issue with mk2.

PaulG is right in that you can get swamping if the Rx is too close. I usually fix that with a little space and by pointing the active element away from the Rx. If RSSI is unstable to start, then the tune won't be right.
