This is a pretty good live performance of Karate. In the rain and in front of those metalheads in England. Su-metal really gets the crowd revved up. Road of Resistance, Live in Japan official, and Rondo of Nightmare with the Mischiefs of the gods (or something close to that) introduction. Two must sees.

Better live performance? Try Road of Resistance live in Japan, Babymetal Death Legend 1997, or Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of Gods intro

With Babymetal, there is no distinction between what is the "best" performance because every single song is different, every single performance is tailor made for the circumstances and venue...you just can't make that distinction. The band is called Kami Band. (When you see videos with a "band" behind them in skeleton suits, they are actors pretending to play. Early on, the girls sang live to a backing track with "Babybones" behind them.The Kami's started doing the encores and soon took over.The Kami's are exclusive to Babymetal.) They are every bit a part of Babymetal as the girls, but they are Kami Band, which means God Band in Japanese. They are the gods of their instruments (made up of some of the finest musicians in Japan, actually, the world) who are "manifested" on stage as needed by the Fox God who has chosen Babymetal to spread the message of positivity, courage hope and love to the world through metal. Su-metal, the lead singer was chosen by the Fox God to become the goddess that leads this charge. Moa- metal and Yui-metal are the Angels that assist her. So yeah, A LOT of thought went into this! Great reaction, Liked and subscribed.

That was great to watch, thank you for this reaction! You either love or hate BABYMETAL, there's not much middle grounds. As soon as I saw your smile during the first verse, I knew they got you. Many of their songs are more "playful" than this one, incorporating all sorts of musical genres into an awesome mix. If you can get used to the thought of having smiles, fun and dancing in your Metal, you are in for a wild and joyful ride. Regarding their live shows, you can hardly go wrong. Their energy is always endless, the presentation always great, the performance always awesome, the musicians always flawless, and the crowd always super hyped. Having said that, for a full live experience I would advise against videos from their first few shows for now (Legend I, D, Z and Legend 1997 and 1999 for the most part), because back then they were playing to backing tracks with a fake miming skeleton band instead of real musicians. It's not that those are bad shows, but the awesome band does add a lot of value. So I'm going to end with two suggestions: - "Road of Resistance" for an amazing live performance of Dragonforce-inspired Metal (they contributed to that song): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sLp1jLh3zLLalY0.html - "Megitsune" for a more kawaii, playful and "Japanese" song: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mrtja6aK0Nampn0.html One thing to be aware of, though: The Japanese music industry is pretty strict about copyright. Some videos, especially those of more recent live shows, tend to get blocked or even earn you copyright strikes. I'm sure most of the fan recommendations will come with a warning, if applicable, but sometimes it's just random. The link to "Megitsune" I posted above has often been OK, but blocked sometimes as well, IIRC. The same goes for the official music video of that song. If you want to be on the safe side, you could mute the audio, perhaps even put some effects on the video, and give us a link to the original video to sync up. This would open the way for their most awesome videos, and they are really worth the hassle! Edit: Regarding the rain, there are pictures of their producer (and mastermind behind them) actually mopping the stage before the show. And as you have seen, the soaking wet floor doesn't keep them from getting down on it, if the choreography requires it. They are just professional.

BABYMETAL - Rondo Of Nightmare (With Mischiefs of God Intro) Live Budokan Black Night 2014
@Grington3005 жыл бұрын
Very good reaction. Babymetal live is the way to go - and you don't need to worry about them not interacting with the crowd, it is what they're all about. The two younger girls, Yui and Moa, don't just dance and add backing vocals, one of their main functions is to lead the crowd and get them involved - it is their parts of the songs that people sing along with (in this one the "saya sa sa sa saya, soya so so so soya" etc) and when they jump or make particular moves the crowd does the same. The rain here was described as "biblical", they were delayed for 45 minutes, their producer was photographed sweeping water from the stage and most people still stayed on to watch Babymetal perform. There was in interview of someone in another band looking soaked to the skin as he had stood out in the rain with everybody else just to see Babymetal.

Thanks for the reaction and nice to see you liked it! Download Festival promoter Andy Copping was against Babymetal's appearance there but at Download 2015 their friends from DragonForce aquired BM as their guests on stage for 1 song. Next year Babymetal played at the Download's main stage :) I think Road of Resistance is probably the best showcase of their live performance: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sLp1jLh3zLLalY0.html. And for their backing musicians (Kami Band) it's the intro for Rondo of Nightmare: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h96JdMZ63tGWc6M.html. Edit: Damn, this last "Hashire!" by Suzuka just leaves me totally admired!

One of the many good things about BABYMETAL is that you really get a lot in one package: they mix so many different music styles in and out of metal, to deliver high quality content, it's amazing. They go from very light, childish songs like 4 shin or Catch me if you can, to some serious stuff like Akatsuki or Rondo of Nightmare, from simple riffs like GJ or Meta Taro to complex ones like Syncopation or Tales of the Destinies 😍

Babymetal live is best Babymetal so glad you picked a live performance, it's definitely a good performance. About the rain: before they went on they had the biggest rain of the festival, the whole festival was delayed, but pretty much everyone stayed and team Babymetal had to sweep water of the stage and put the plastic on the equipment. If you look at her facial expressions you can see main singer Suzuka/Su-metal struggling not to fall during her dancing (her shoes are different from the other 2). But Babymetal has many good live performances, I see suggestions for Road of Resistance Live in Japan, I think that would be good. Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of Gods intro is a good suggestion too.

Thanks for choosing to react to BABYMETAL, they're amazing! As someone who is new to the group, I thought I'd give you and your followers a little background on them. BABYMETAL is a Japanese Kawaii Metal group consisting of (for the most part) SU-METAL on lead vocals, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL on backing vocals/dancing, or "SCREAM AND DANCE" as they like to call it. I say 'for the most part' as Yui & Moa have a few songs that they do as duets without Su and Su has a few songs she does as solos whilst Yui & Moa take a well deserved break. They were formed in 2010 as part of the idol goup Sakura Gakuin, before touring on their own in 2011 and have gone from strength to strength. They started singing to backing tracks with actors in skeleton suits pretending to play instruments (known as BABYBONES) but soon incorporated the Kami Band into their concerts, bringing them in full time at the end of 2013. The Kami Band consists of some of Japan's premier musicians on rotation based on availability. The most popular configuration consisting of Takayoshi Ohmura and Mikio Fujioka on guitar with Leda Cygnus as stand-in, BOH on bass and Aoyama Hideki on drums. These are the people you will see most often in videos. Since the untimely passing of Mikio at the end of 2017 they have enlisted the talents of Isao Fujita on guitar. Below is a list of some of their best performances that I hope you will consider for future reactions. Should you decide to do more BABYMETAL reactions in the future, you should be aware that KZfaq will block almost all videos that incorporate audio. The best way round this is to mute the video and provide a link that we can open in a new window and sync with yours. Just give us a countdown before you start playing it. The BABYMETAL fandom is very used to this way of doing things. BABYMETAL ...so weird, so japanese, but so refreshing also. First time I heard of them was around 2013, some finnish rock magazine did a short story, like "Look what those japanese invented this time", and a link to the MEGITSUNE OFFICIAL video. I was preparing to have a few laughs, but ended up headbanging, with the Fox sign. They had about 2 million views then, now 56 million. (I recommend viewing/reacting to that video also). Most of the metal I listen is made by ugly, hairy dudes singing (or growling) aggressively their dark lyrics, but yeah, IF it's done well (the musicians are damn good) and have songs that kick a*s, even this kind of metal is ..."street credible". n/

Babymetal is great! I'm also quite new to this band and don't know much about Japanese culture either, but I enjoy this music. Karate is one of my favorites, but I think the vocals could have been a bit clearer in this live recording. I like the studio version much more. Two other great songs are Headbanger and Megitsune, you could react to those if you run out of ideas. Their official videos are pretty cool, but there might be some good live versions too.

So this was 2016 at Download festival (I was thinking England, but now I think it was the French location of Download?), supporting their 2nd album. But their first trip to England 2yrs earlier, ages 15,15,16, was a big deal. They surprise opened the main stage at noon, and the entire festival crowd of 60000 was already gathered (unusually early). Singing in a foreign language to Brit metalheads who just woke up hungover on the ground hopefully near their tent, who’d never heard the band, and had a reputation for throwing bottles of piss at opening acts, had to be daunting. By the last song things were ok. At which they played a prologue in English with an anti-bullying message; arguably both the least and most metal thing you can do. Then played this epic to close out their pivotal 30min set. Check this site for the lyrics, even beforehand is fine, this guy includes great cultural and translators footnotes (for every BabyMetal release) du-metal.blogspot.com/2013/07/ijime-dame-zettai.html?m=1 BabyMetal, ijime dame zettai (EE Gee May Dah May Zet Tie), live at Sonisphere 2014 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNVdksaTy8rWiXk.html

I was shocked this was the result you got for their best live performance. I would have said "Road of Resistance" at the Saitama Super Arena, or "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" live at Sonisphere 2014, or "Akatsuki" at Budokan for the Black Night show, or "Rondo of Nightmare" with the Mischiefs of Gods intro. They have many amazing live shows, but this one was a little rough. It had just finally stopped pouring rain, the audio was not the best and as you could see, a plane was flying overheard at one point. They always give their best, but those were difficult conditions.

Honestly even though What I started with & got me hooked on the band Was Gimme Chocolate, I think you just need to look up their Sonisphere 2014 performance. That whole set might be the main thing that put them on the raiddar of most international fans & really the 2014 Set is a story in it of itself. Initial mess ups, wardrobe malfunctions, changing attitude of the audience. Really recommended just to see real life representation of how this band fought their way into the hearts of metal heads

Trying to sing lower than her vocal range?.. She has numerous times been going through changes in her voice as she was growing up and having to adapt. Seems she has been able to keep her child range and add an adult range. She can still sing the early BABYMETAL songs in same range. During the evolution of BABYMETAL the outfits were red and black. It moved on to less red over time. Today there is no red. The uniforms are a giveaway of which stage it was in their journey.

Welcome to the world of BABYMETAL, I hope you enjoy your stay with us. Don't mind the skeletons and foxes, they all work here. If you're looking for links, please make use of my link list below, it has all their best live performances as well as links to their music videos. A word of warning though, KZfaq doesn't like BABYMETAL videos and will block almost all uploads and reactions that include their video or audio, so the best way to react to them is using the Link & Sync method. This means you upload just the video of you without the BABYMETAL video embedded - don't even include their audio. Just provide the link to the original video in the description, we'll all open it in a new tab, you count us down (321 go) and we all click on go and watch along with you and you don't need to worry about videos being blocked or your account getting copyright strikes. Anyway, here's the link list :-) drive.google.com/open?id=131p-m3zk6ViH1paInEE_67wHmP4FqSNf

The link and sync thing is something common? I've never heard of it before today. Granted I still have never watched another channels' reactions (I don't want them to influence my own format and ideas). Sounds like a very interesting idea and a great way to make sure monetization goes to the artist and I get to keep my own monetization as well. Thank you so much for the idea!
@MusicLifePlus5 жыл бұрын
Also how do mobile users deal with this?
@teuchterloon91305 жыл бұрын
L&S is pretty much the only safe way of reacting to BABYMETAL, BAND-MAID and other Japanese bands. The best way I've seen for mobile users is the way Rob K Reacts does his - he uses a script written for him that allows him to have both his video and the original video show in the same window. It works for PC & Android, but not very well on iPhone as yet. Most people though, just provide the original link and let viewers figure it out themselves. Maybe give Rob a shout for advice :-) Reactors doing Japanese bands have had a lot of headaches with copyright. Some channels that come to mind are Rob K himself, Pictures Noise % Words, WoodyAUS and Static Age Channel. All have ended up adopting the Link/Sync method, especially for BABYMETAL and BAND-MAID. Pretty much every BABYMETAL fan will advise you to use the Link/Sync method.

Headbanger at legend 1997 or road of resistance live in Japan to give you a taste of them live or idz live at sonisphere, in front of 50000 + British metal heads, most of whom didn't know them.

The Japanese music scene, be it Pop or Metal, is musically 2 levels beyond everything here in the West that I’ve just lost all patience for. The music here is just so damn lazy and uncreative with no real talent. Whereas there, someone will actually practice 5 or 6 hrs EVERY DAY as well as attend a music institute before daring to call themself a musician. You said you didn’t know much about Japanese culture, so I’ll tell you- it’s based on work ethic, honor, and manners. And this work ethic permeates everything including the music scene. And don’t get all overwrought about it being in another language. Just enjoy it sonically. Japanese really lends itself musically. Besides, knowing the lyrics is, with a few exceptions, is largely overrated- there really aren’t anymore Hemingways out there these days. For Happy, uplifting metal that makes you smile for its innocence and sincerity I suggest Babymetal. For the best hard rock that flirts with both metal AND pop, I strongly suggest Band Maid- all female Japanese Hard Rock band who’ve yet to write and jam a crap song. They jam better than GnR did back in the late 80s and early 90s. Enjoy!🤘🏻💪🏻

This is a label production effort, the band is very good. The singers have aged out of the anime routine and I think they are now going with one singer from this point on , don't quote me as I am not a fan of this "production" product. If you hear the band minus the vocals it is actually very good. Vocals are the weakest part of the act as LIVE you can tell (IMHO). No comparison to any other J-Rock/Metal group as they are unique, Pop with Metal, but Band Maid does that much better. However a lot of BM fans like this group so you maybe one of them. This is a label band and where they go forward will be interesting to see since they no longer go with 3 singer. They are very popular but will be interested to see if they continue to be as popular with the changes having to be made.

still got 2 singers although Su has always being the main singer .sold out world tour last year with 2 singers. Vocals are weak ?(17 at this show) but like you said your opinion Band Maid are not pop with metal there hard rock and not pop but they are excellent at what they do . Babymetal are doing a stadium show at the forum Los Angles and are doing a show Brixton academy London and shows in Japan sold out I believe this year . and will proberly announce more like they did last year . There Performance Legend S: Baptism XX charted at number four on the Oricon DVD chart for the week August 13, 2018, with first-week sales of 3,594 copies, and peaked at number one on the Oricon Blu-ray chart the same week, with first-week sales of 19,604 copies . There fans did not win most devoted fans 2 times for nothing.

Weak vocals ? You must have a peculiar definition of weak xD Those vocals are the main reason this band exists
