I hate when content is stolen on TikTok and when someone complains, people say, "What do you expect? It's TikTok. People do it all the time." As if that makes it any better or more acceptable. Theft happens all the time in Detroit, but we don't excuse it just because it's common. The fact that either is common is a serious problem and should be treated as such.

Probably should consider a watermark, otherwise there's not much you can do. People will steal content and aside from having a mark on the actual video that can't be cropped/blocked out, you can't really stop them. Those accounts are generally automatically generated and get early boosted views/comments and such, so even if one gets banned another 3 for replacement are waiting.

Watermarks don't do crap either, actually. I've seen dozens of TikToks with watermarks that don't belong to the poster. People literally steal watermarked content, and TikTok viewers don't care about who the original creator is.

That home video is less 'neoptism' and more 'chronically online and clout chasing' problem. With the money being probably made by the views on video and the people doing this feeling the need to up the stakes and make EVEN CRAZIER video so that they get even more views. and that's all that matters to them and they thinkl of consequences later. At least this one seems to be only affecting them. Because often these videos take place in public spaces or invlove some poor innocent bystanders who get caught up in this shit. and sometimes people get hurt or even die. I mean this still could potentially affect other people because I'm guessing they don't live in the middle of nowhere and have like neighbours and shit. Whose houses or gardens can get damaged by water or the street can get flooded.

Btw I noticed that apparently it is legal to attract fish with additional light in USA during your video. At 6:52. I live in Poland and I am sure it's illegal in here to do this while fishing. Is it just some states that allow it in America? I'm kind of curious is there any reason for that?
@nachgeben
@nachgeben Жыл бұрын
State laws, most likely. But it's also really iffy. For example, you can't do that on the beach when it's turtle bb migration time, because they follow the moon and lights derail them. But the states each have entirely different ecosystems to one another because the country is so large, so it makes no sense for federal laws to dictate something like fishing methods.

@RealFaodail
@RealFaodail Жыл бұрын
@@paitynrich8607 Yes there is a difference. One person claims it’s their video, and profits off it for almost zero effort. While the other watches a KZfaq video, taking all the value out the original video, then profiting off of the work of the original poster. For almost no effort. Very similar, both absolutely scummy
@paitynrich8607

@@RealFaodail I see your point but I do think just stealing and reposting the content is worse but that's your opinion my opinion is reaction KZfaqrs don't mean it in a harmful way but the people who just completely steal content do at the end of the day I'm just a simple person who likes to watch videos
@RealFaodail
@RealFaodail Жыл бұрын
@@paitynrich8607 I genuinely respect your perspectives and opinions. In my initial response, I realize that I came across as overly aggressive, and for that, I apologize. In my opinion, reaction content on KZfaq can be seen as akin to uploading someone else’s video. Uploading a stolen video is detrimental to everyone involved, except for the person who posted it, and it requires no effort on their part. I wholeheartedly agree that this is an unfavorable practice. However, when it comes to reaction content, there are certain similarities that cannot be ignored. The original creators, often referred to as Reacties, invest hours upon hours of hard work, creativity, and skill into crafting a single video before uploading it. They carefully plan, script, shoot, and edit their content to offer something unique and engaging to their audience. On the other hand, reactors spend a comparatively short amount of time, typically around 20 minutes, watching the video and providing their reactions or commentary. They might spend a few additional minutes creating a thumbnail, but the overall effort they put in is considerably less than that of the original creator. This discrepancy raises concerns about the fairness and value derived from reaction content. By creating reaction videos, reactors essentially extract the essence of the original content, often incorporating it into their own video. As a result, the original content loses some of its appeal, as viewers may feel they have already experienced it through the reaction video. This can diminish the motivation for viewers to seek out and support the original creator’s work. Essentially, reactors obtain content that has been crafted over weeks of work, pouring their time, creativity, and expertise into it, and they distill it into a shorter, less comprehensive format within a matter of minutes. This disparity in effort and value raises questions about the ethics and impact of reaction content on KZfaq. I also hear the argument that reaction content provides exposure to the original poster. However, I find this claim to be largely false. The audience that reactors attract is often distinct from the audience the original creator intended to reach. As a result, a vast majority, roughly 98%, of the viewers who watch a reaction video do not feel compelled to explore the original creator’s channel. Even among the remaining 2% who might click through to the original video, their engagement tends to be brief. They might watch for a few minutes, and then click off. Unfortunately, this behavior can send negative signals to the KZfaq algorithm, which interprets quick clicks and short viewing durations as indicators of poor content quality. Consequently, the algorithm may perceive the original video as unappealing and reduce its visibility, limiting its potential to reach a wider audience. In essence, the argument that reaction content provides exposure to the original poster is flawed. The reality is that the vast majority of viewers watching a reaction video are unlikely to explore the original creator’s content, and the small percentage who do may not engage for long enough to positively impact the video’s performance or visibility. Therefore, the claim that reaction content is beneficial for the original creator in terms of exposure is, unfortunately, largely unfounded. You do you, man. I understand that you’re just trying to enjoy some KZfaq content, and that’s cool. However, I can’t help but feel frustrated. It’s important to acknowledge that not all reactors may be aware of how reaction content negatively affects everyone involved. Nevertheless, the impact remains the same. Even if unintentionally, reactors contribute to a cycle that diminishes the value and recognition of original content creators. Ideally, it would be great if more reactors realized the adverse effects of their content and shifted towards creating more original and unique content. By doing so, they could contribute positively to the creative ecosystem on KZfaq and give deserving creators the attention and support they deserve. So, while I respect everyone’s individual choices and preferences, I hope that this person, and others like them, will come to recognize the downsides of reaction content and consider posting more original content in the future. It would be beneficial for both creators and viewers alike.
