I wanna say if you do a video on the penguin movies, don’t forget that March of the Penguins also came out around the same time as Happy Feet, and grossed over $125 million worldwide, even though it was literally just a documentary about penguins. There was legitimately something INSANE going on with penguins during the mid 00’s.

As a Frankie who grew up absolutely obsessed with this film, I am so satisfied by this. Shame I was killed by an anchor. Also, Mike, I wish you had the DVD, because there were about a billion special features and easter eggs, including this surreal full-cast dance-off sequence and if I'm not mistaken, a whale-wash mini game? The SF menu was just the fish-city scene but you could select different signs and open secret menus.

i need everyone in this comment section to know that when i was in elementary school, my school put on a musical/play that combined a bunch of early 2000's movies into one titled "a pirate's dream" where the students from high school musical went on a vacation on the pirates of the carribean ship but crashed into madagascar where they ran into the surf's up penguins and alvin and the chipmunks, had to rescue garfield (which plot-wise was sharpay's pet) from a bunch of disney villains, and at the end, took their ship to a car wash... the fish tales car wash.

For a long time I actually thought I made up The Wild in a dream, because it's strangely similar to Madascar but bad. Also I remember seeing it in a different language in a laser game hall / cinema when I was nine. Edit: it wasn't a different language I looked it up and the Dutch version apparently has Belgian voice actors in it and I couldn't understand the Flemish dialect as a child (I still can't)
