You'll learn alot by watching alot of Guy's on YT, one bit of advice, bring your wedge grip back one knoch, so your support hand is back a little further from the muzzle . Cleaning : The bolt has an ejector claw on the end of the rotating bolt face . IF the chamber wall is dirty, it tense to hold on to the casing, this causes the ejector claw when grabing the rim of the casing to tare off little shards of brass from the rim , look at your spent casings for damaged rims from the ejector you might see the bite marks. Although you can buy the 7.5" barrels, not may Guy's use them because of cycling issues, its just to short for 556 to operate properly, a 10.5" is as short as the 556 is intended to cycle correctly. If you want to have a AR that's short.. consider changing the barrel out for the 300 black out , it's designed to operate with a 7" to 8.5" barrel. Learn all you can about the 300BLK-OUT , as a better alternative to 556 for home defense. Learn ALL YOU CAN ABOUT SAFETY, you don't want your hand that close to the muzzle, if you should happen to slip you'll blow your hand clean off , and I do mean clean off !

If you’ve got a thousand rounds through that, then that is a miracle gun. Your brass deflector doesn’t even have a scratch on it. A standard one would have significant scratching after one mag.

Budget, but your range time has shown it to be reliable. I would suggest two things - 1) a more vertical grip would be more comfortable with the short length of pull when using the brace as a stock in an emergency and 2) save up for a Witt Machine Big Body Two Two Three suppressor. It's just under $500 including tax stamp, is very compact, a flow through so less gas in your face but most important of all no permanent hearing damage when things go bump in the night. You won't have time to put on ear pro and while alive but deaf is better than dead, alive and can hear is way better and $500 is a LOT cheaper than hearing aids! If you can't have suppressors in your state check out their SME muzzle device. Also compact and should prevent permanent hearing loss.

Thank you so much for the info. I did end up putting on more vertical grip on it and linear compbut I would definitely look into that suppressor.

Vertical grip is illegal for pistols without an sbr tax stamp!
@seventhmonkey458Ай бұрын
@@EricVernor I was referring to the pistol grip and not adding a VFG t the hand guard. Youo are absolutely correct about the tax stamp for adding a VFG t a pistol. AR pistol owners need to be very aware of the laws that regulate the difference between a pistol and a SBR

You may want to consider changing up to 300 blackout and going suppressed with subsonic. Also, my understanding is that you generally don't want to go shorter than 10.3" for 5.56/.223. If you had to shoot that inside your house, for defense, at best you'd likely cause yourself to be disoriented and at worse, you might blow out your eardrums.

Yeah after I bought this I heard about 300blk suppressed and sounds like a good idea… besides the tax stamp for suppressors
@ecobasetech45583 ай бұрын
@@Lockd_NLoaded Yah, I understand why some don't like the idea of getting a suppressor. Paying a "tax stamp" definitely sucks and is completely unconstitutional. However, I recently made the decision to buy one for myself for a few reasons. First, I don't know if you have heard, but the approval rates for new Form 4 submissions have been accelerated. I've heard of people getting approved within as little as a day's time, compared to the typical 6-18 months that others have experienced in the past. There is speculation on why this is happening now but there is no telling how long it will last. So if you are considering getting one, now is the time. Second, I know most won't do it because of being put on a registry and getting a suppressor tells the ATF that you have guns. Well I say so what! They say that they don't have a registry or can't create one currently of those of us that lawfully purchase our guns from our FFLs. I don't believe that. They likely already know which of us have guns. Even if they don't have direct access to the 4473's that get filled out when we purchase our guns, it doesn't take much to get access to them because the ATF can do audits of any FFL at any time. Plus they are doing everything they can to shut down as many FFLs as possible over stupid stuff like clerical errors. Once an FFL goes out of business, they have to hand over their 4473s to the ATF. So one way or another they either do already know who has guns and what we have or will know at some point in the future. Third, even absent of them knowing what we do or don't have. The suppressor itself is not a gun and isn't normally paired up with a specific gun. So all buying a suppressor does is tells the ATF that you have at least one gun that can take a suppressor. That doesn't really tell them much more than what they likely already know or can find out fairly easily anyway. Suppressors don't have the same restrictions as say a SBR. You don't have to get permission before you can travel across state lines with them. Fourth, if the gun grabbers have their way, all so called "Assault Weapons" could end up being banned in the near future anyway; either at the Federal or like has happened recently in many cases, at the State level. So I'd rather have one now while I can legally acquire one, then wait and there be an outright ban that makes it illegal to buy one later. Last, according to the ATF, there are somewhere around 2.6 million registered suppressors in circulation already. I think maybe if every lawful gun owner were to buy at least one, it will remind the Federal government how many of us are likely armed. If that number were to grow by 10 or 20 times or more, maybe that would give the government pause on their intention of confiscation down the road. But that's just my opinion. Everyone should make up their own mind on whether to buy one or not. If none of that bothers you and you are worried about the overall price. Suppressors aren't necessarily all that expensive. Sure there are some that cost over 1k. But the one I got (YHM R9) I paid $431 +$17 shipping and $90 transfer fee then $206 for the Tax Stamp pained to SilencerShop. The total comes out to $744. That's about the average price for most mid-tier quality handguns or lower priced PCC pistols.

In most cases you are right. I'm pretty sure the guy isn't trying to shoot 500 meter groups or destabilize a government with it. It's perfect for home defense.

What do you mean by “mil-spec buffer tube”…is that not a rifle buffer tube on there ?if not then how does the brace fit?
@Lockd_NLoaded3 ай бұрын
I was under the impression that the mil spec buffer tube comes with the notches to put brace on it. And that a normal “buffer tube “is just the tube that came with the gun.
