Whether you’re pro or anti vaxx, I think we can all agree that if our employer is mandating something we can’t do or aren’t willing to do, we should look for employment elsewhere. The solution is simple.

Yup - the entire premise of a vaccine mandate is saying “we’re prioritizing work for folks who are vaxxed… we hope you agree but we respect your choice not to, but you won’t be able to work for us if you don’t get vaxxed, best of luck with everything”

Kunal Mishra But it violates federal law to deny a religious exemption. If mandating injecting something into your body violates your spiritual beliefs, it’s wrong to fire that person (and against the law to do so.)

Watch Peggy Hall on KZfaq. She will teach you how to properly submit for accommodation. “Exemption” is the wrong language by the way and so is “mandate”. Peggy will teach you why.

NYC is a city issue. It’s everywhere here. Almost impossible to gain employment because they don’t honor religious or medical exemptions 90% of the time. You must be independent.

The main stream media talked about the OSHA mandate that was rejected by the Supreme Court, but little was mentioned about the CMS mandate that was upheld. Any healthcare establishment that accepts Medicare dollars is required to mandate the vaccine (unless a medical or religious exemption is granted).

Personal home health care might be an option?! My friend who is a nurse also wont get vaccinated so she is taking on home care for like minded families taking care of elderly/dementia patients. She is working a TON of hours and making bank!

My spouse’s exemption at the hospital was denied twice, but then accepted after multiple appeals. We also consulted a lawyer, and found out we definitely had a case if RE was denied (it’s a constitutional right.) Don’t give up, unless you have a back up plan.

little bob I personally was injured by vaccines I received in the military, and after learning about the risks it goes against my moral, spiritual beliefs to knowingly do anything that can harm my body. I avoid certain medications for the same reason. The law views this subject with a very broad scope, so actually religious or philosophical exemptions are quite common. It’s only recently that people are being demonized for their personal views.

theslowevo If your question is sincere, I would encourage you to research this topic. I’m not going to get into specifics about my religion or spiritual beliefs. But just know that REs have long been around, and are protected under the constitution. There are many spiritual practices that discourage vaccines for different reasons that I don’t have time to go into on this platform.

I went through a job loss due to the mandate, a job I loved taking care of people with disabilities. I spent 17 weeks unemployed. One thing I didn’t hear mentioned in this segment was rely on God. Without our faith we wouldn’t have made it. He took care of us. We only used $1100 from the emergency fund. Prayers for your family from someone who walked through this ❤️

No losing his job over the choices you make your choices have consequences. No you don't have to be vaccinated also your not guaranteed to be employed or stay employed. My roommate refuses to get vaccinated yet complains she has no money it's been a year.

WA State has the vaccine mandate for Healthcare workers. Regardless of our beliefs. Healthcare workers treat patients for the greater good. If that's not your belief find another career. It's simple as that. You don't agree. No need to comment. My point, my perspective. Create a great day!

Yeah.. there's plenty of inexperienced nurses that will help fill the void. But when you're in a car wreck and you're transported to the ER and admitted to the Trauma ICU... do you really want a new graduate nurse caring for you and helping maintain your vent with not enough experienced people available to ask questions to?

@@patrickfenton1637 That not how it works. Was just one or two nurses not wanting the shot and leaving not all of the staff. Inexperience nurses aren't doing trauma and ER. You have strange hospitals where you live. If that is what's happening at the hospital in your area I wouldn't go there.

I don't think there's a place on the planet where it's mandatory to have the vaccine but boy a lot of people sound like it is. I had it, survived, observed hospital's emergency rooms that were darn near empty on a daily basis and have yet to see new cemeteries being developed for the many lost. I understand people not wanting to put stuff in their body against their will. But, you work in the healthcare field. I should have also identified the ethical principle nurses are to adhere to: non-maleficence. I must always remember that by being vaccinated I am showing love to my neighbor. Not sure where this nurse was trained!

@@perotal Two reasons, I’m not a physician but my wife is, and she said the vaccine is very effective, but not 100% effective, nothing is. The vast majority of the patients she has seen in the ICU are not vaccinated. Secondly, I would not want someone who does not believe in medical science to treat me, as I don’t know what other treatments they may not care for or believe in, and as the patient I am there to get better, not take a chance of getting infected by someone who has their own motives.

I don't like these misleading titles. Every Company has policies, just how every human being should have some standards and values and morals they live up to. Her husband made the choice to lose his job by not taking the vaccine. All he needs to do now is find another job that does not have those mandates. I myself had no plans of taking the vaccine but my employer has those mandates and because I love my job and want my job, I need my job I took the vaccines. Your employer did absolutely nothing wrong. Human beings need to learn to accept and respect boundaries and policies.
