My journey into Buddhism has been an unexpected and exciting one. If someone had told me when I was fourteen what I was going to do before my 30th birthday, I would have called them insane. But at the same time I would have sat in wonder at the adventures I was going to have and I would have been unimaginably excited about the years following my 27th birthday. In this brief video, I provide you with a snippet of my life and what led me into Buddhism.

You told us an interesting story of your life. I have read that it is not necessary to become a monk or nun to follow the Buddhist teachings. it is something you can do while you are in this world. I think what you have done spreading Buddhism to all those interested into larn more aobut it to devote their lives to practice it is very remarkable as it shows that anyone can achieve enlightment or at least get a little closer to it in this lifetime. Thank you.

Mindah-Lee Kumar Can you tell us more about you being a nun for three years. Like where you became a monk, what country, do you need to know a language. A video or comment on this would be helpful

That's interesting. I didn't know that's how monk and nun ordination worked. I thought you have to be a monk in that country of ordination. It's nice to know that there is a bit of freedom as to where to start. I am interested in becoming a monk in the future.

It's nice to see a flexible system that can suit a person becoming a monk/nun.Would you have to recite all the precepts within an ordination ceremony.

Apologies for late message. Busy with college work recently. That ceremony doesn't sound as intimidating as I thought. Thanks for the replies.

did you come from a family background in which Buddhism was a part of your family heritage? Do you have Indian heritage? How did you become introduced to Buddhism, if not?

i appreciate your works but i want to ask you something if i may, is there a buddhist bible that i can buy? I spend all my time reading other peoples books? I wish i could directly to the sources of the buddhas words?

This post might help you with that. I have recommended a couple of places where you can read the words of the Buddha. www.enthusiasticbuddhist.com/tripitaka-and-the-first-buddhist-council/

i guess you can gauge your spiritual development by how closely you follow the five precepts. Im still learning but its hard to know if i'm on the right track
