@@donivanzete No, copyright can't prevent people from saying something, you can say Microsoft or Amazon or whatever however much you want, besides there are people named Alexa, copyright doesn't work the way you think. What he did was definitely a courtesy, although a pretty common one I'd say most people should have learned by now, so I don't get why we're applauding people for taking off their shoes before entering the living room.

I think the point is to have a main alarm by your bed, and the downstairs alarm set for a few minutes later so the 'game' or strategy is to turn off the downstairs alarm before it goes off. Especially motivating is if you have roommates that you don't want to wake up
@TwistedTechGeek
@TwistedTechGeek 4 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing.. I am lucky the alarm next to me is loud enough to wake me up. If I can even hear the alarm downstairs, it's not waking me up and I am certainly not getting out of bed to turn it off. LOL

I have built an explosive device attached to my alarm clock which will detonate if I hit snooze, I have 17 seconds to de-arm the explosive device, before it vaporizes me and my dog. Honestly, I think if people are having a problem getting out of bed there is a much deeper problem that needs to be addressed. I always wake up before the alarm and never have any problem getting out of bed, when I wake up getting out of bed is just what I want to do. I used to have the problem when I was in high-school, but I think that was because I hated high-school. So I think that having a problem with getting out of bed is related to not enjoying what comes after waking up. I guess that would make sense for people who constantly feel they have improve to reach some perceived goal of perfection just out of reach. And since I'm already perfect I don't have to deal with that.

A few strength reps (pull-ups for example) 3. 10-15 minutes casual walk while listening to an audiobook or a podcast 4. Catching up with you schedule for the day 5. Breakfast 6. Learning (books/articles/apps) 7. Shower 8. Start working Side note: workout moved to the afternoon to get rid of the afternoon brain fog.

For years I also told myself that going to the gym in the morning is desirable (and the earlier the better), but recently I had the exact same realisation: it’s better (for me) to get a few hours of work done first and do the gym in the afternoon when I’m a bit scatterbrained. Such an important realisation for me.

Same man, sometimes (really not often), an ever so slight noise jolts me up, my estimated 100+ decibel alarm however (one nasty, cruel sound that lasts a full minute) is like a lullaby to my asleep brain, it seems. Sometimes I MAY wake up to shut it off completely and then sleep in - WITHOUT REMEMBERING ANY OF IT!

@@SuperTank121212 , maybe use a different sound. your brain might have conditioned itself to shut out that particular alarm.

@@livethefuture2492 Very good point, I shall try that. I already am rotating at times, though I have all 20 default alarms memorized by heart. I'm gonna go full RETRO and set "Swimming" from my old Nokia as alarm, never failed to make me jump right out of bed back in the day 😸

I used to be like that as well. I had to install an extreme alarm that had nuclear alarm sounds and stuff to wake up and I dreaded it. Then I started to use Sleep by Android app (which monitors your sleep all night and detects when its the best time to wake you up within a time interval) and now I wake up with an alarm so soft that you could go to sleep with it. Its a soft piano music with a river and birds chirping lmao. But yeah, I set the alarm at 6am and it will wake you up between 5:30-6am depending on when you are in your lightest sleep. You can also limit or remove the snooze buttons and also force yourself to get up by needing to deactivate the alarm with a bar code/qr code scan, I think it also has puzzles if you like those. It also links to those sunrise simulation alarms too. Sorry for the long ad, this app really changed my life 😂

Hey Thomas can you do a video on getting out of the afternoon fog? I find it almost impossible to get out of. Thanks. Also, it’s awesome to see how much you and your channel have grown. I’m like a proud mother.

This video was right on time for me. I'm starting my surgical rotation tomorrow and will have to be at work at 6:30am every morning from now till the end of the year. I usually workout in the late afternoon and was considering changing my workout time to the morning, before work. I think I'll just keep it in the afternoon and rather do a short stretch and walking exercise in the morning and then do some learning before breakfast.

Thumbs up for listening to business wars! I think I'm going to start working out in the afternoon, although that's the same time everyone and their mother does it. I used to prefer it in the morning to help wake me up but I also feel pretty drained throughout the day, it also helps vent stress from work. I'm a recent graduate with an MBA trying to optimize my morning routine while seeking employment so I'm glad to hear advice with consideration to recent graduates.

TOTALLY agree with the afternoon workout. I stubbornly wanted to be a morning runner, but I find the post-work run is so much more satisfying.
