The separate blanket thing makes so much difference! My husband is a furnace and I'm an ice box so I steal all the blankets and if he gets cold in the night he's not getting them back haha. Also as soon as I'm done supper I do my night skin care. I found washing my face and doing it right before bed woke me up too much so now I do it around 7pm and then when I'm sleepy I can just crawl into bed!
@luisemillerin2074 ай бұрын
That last point has been a gamechanger for me, as well! I love slathering on cold water right after dinner and I've found I'm going to sleep much earlier these days, since I've always hated doing the whole skincare routine right before bed. 😊

Game changer - I live in Ireland and as you know the weather/amount of light we get in the winter months is shite and getting natural light first thing is an issue - until my parents bought me a lightbox alarm clock thing that wakes you with light and even though I generally only stay in bed for 10-15 mins after I wake, I found it made a huge difference to my sleep/mood cycles in the darker months

Yeah this sounds like sleeping with extra steps 😊. I just get tired during the day, and the fact that I love sleeping is all the motivation I need. Also if anything hurts sleep usually fixes it. When laying in bed and the mind is racing, just try to imagine a black wall and I mean a really really black wall and slow down your breathing. As you said in the video "Truly if there is one thing that solves all our problems it's sleep" Keltie O'Connor 2024

even better than just a heated blanket is the dual-zone heated MATTRESS PAD. Life-changing. I do wish mine had a better timer (it only shuts off after 10 hours), would be nice if it would shut off after 1-2 hours. But I can even pop this thing on in the middle of summer if the A/C is too cold without affecting my partner.

Great video! I already do a lot of these things..my main issue is not stopping my entertainment consumption aka watching a tv show or something, but I've gotten better :) progress not perfection right ;) I totally agree on your theory of being more sleepy after carbs but when I eat such a heavy meal for dinner, my digestion is on high power and I don't sleep that well. So I try to get a similar effect with a small dessert after dinner like a piece of chocolate or some dates or even a chocolate oat milk :)
