Your comment gives sum light at the end of the tunnel. In another week. It will be a year since my break up.

The process has taken the sting out of the initial loss of the ex (the dumper). But I'm starting to see that as time goes by the ex is not coming back however I'm good with that all things considered 15% of me would want her back gets less and less everyday. I feel exactly the same way. I was in a two-year relationship that ended a few months ago over the dumbest thing. I’ve been no contact for 60 days also and I realize how unhealthy she was/is and how unhealthy the relationship was. I have learned so much in this time of no contact. Coach Lee’s videos have helped me immensely. Even if she did come back to me… I doubt seriously that I would even consider it. The damage that she has done by not working on our relationship over the reasons why she said that she ended it… I think she’s better off by herself or with somebody else. My problem is that my boyfriend comes back after he's looking for a quarrel and come back about 3 days to 3 weeks many times in the five years of being together. reason after reason for small things. i'm so sad and sad the problem than i really love him this time i don't know what to do. Very similar story from a few years ago. She contacted me after 4 months. But I was less and less interested though I was CRUSHED before. Let me say to dumpees: even if you don't get back with your ex, you will reach a point where you lose interest. And man, the RELIEF of not being into them anymore is absolutely tremendous. She calls me now and it has no real effect on me. We stayed friends and I have zero obsession for her. Coach Lee was a massive help in healing. I did all the gym and working on myself stuff he talks about. In addition, I gotta say the one trick that really seems to work to get over someone is do some flirting or dating even if it's the last thing you want to do. Once I get to the point where I'm kind of obsessing or curious about some new girl and whether she will call - even if you don't care much, it gets me over the hump mentally.

I'm sorry about your bad experience. I had a whirlwind myself. Met him online late July didn't meet in physical persons until Sept 10 and we were engaged and with eachother everyweekend. He wanted me to move to his town. I had an interview started moving my things and Oct 30 the day i was to meet his mom, he told me how disgusting I am and how disgusted he was of me. He didn't like me much less did he love me...all this moments before I was going to meet his mom....I begged him to tell me what I had done and he said he just wanted me to get my shit and get the F÷@k out. He did this in front of my daughter whom he claimed to love. I cried typing this and I've cried every hour of every day. The pathetic reality is i still love him and pray he comes back even after such abusive ending. Before I left, I told him in tears that while I didn't know why he suddenly hated me, I loved him, I would always love him and kissed his check and hugged him before I left crying out the door. I pray that I csn forget this nightmare but the bad things are what we seem to have photographic memories of.

@@cr7goat385 That’s the issue. Not long at all. We dated for a week or two if that. We met at work and shared a strong emotional connection and made a great pair. At first she was the one pursuing and telling me how she was so glad I asked her out and talking to each other bc she already liked me. Eventually she got a new position and told me that I deserve someone who will reciprocate my feelings and she can’t do that with her new job. In hindsight I feel that we both integrated a lot of emotional intensity in a short amount of time that perhaps it scared her. I tried to keep the friendship going until she asked me to stop texting her bc she’s busy with work and can’t acknowledge me the way she should. Honestly I’m not even mad and I feel like whatever happens, happens. I’m waiting until thanksgiving is over and I’m giving up and moving on. And if she ever contacts me, maybe I’ll hear her out 🤷‍♂️

We started texting then a few days later she called and I told her I would be down for catching up if it led to something. She said she doesn’t want a relationship right now(which means she doesn’t want one with me) so I started hiding my Instagram stories from her and am letting go. Ik her intentions now and know that she just wanted to catch up to soothe her anxiety. Went back into no contact but it feels way easier this time. I’m not as tempted to check her socials cause Ik what she wants. I’m not gonna be breadcrumbed.

Every relationship use as an opportunity to learn and grow for yourself so the next girl gets a better you or ur ex comes back to a better you. I’ve been in no contact with my current ex for months now and it’s still hard some days. (Breakup was 4 months ago). I knew the girl for four years and she cheated on me. It’s a lot to go through and process. I’m in therapy now and am more mentally healthy than I have been in over 2 years. I’m dating rn and have been building my confidence back up. I recommend watching Frank James video on how to deal with a breakup. I’m going on a date in two days with a girl and am looking forward to that. Sorry for the very delayed response I was going through it lol I would say a couple of months after this post I finally decided to just focus on the process and focus on all the things I have control over. I ended up meeting someone else and have been in a relationship going on 4 months now. Just a few days ago, my friends girlfriend bumped into my ex and spoke to her and my ex was asking about me and wanted to call me. It's crazy, I never thought I would be with someone else and I am happier than ever. Coach Lee was right I do believe the no contact rule works...maybe not in every situation but in my case it did but I moved on @@zb5436

Getting closure is a WIN. Sure, it's not your 1st option, but now you can be free. I've done the same. Many people miss that Coach Lee is fine with the idea of breaking NC after 2-3-4+ months.

I did something similar. Wrote a letter but didn't send it. (We were LDR.) I burnt it instead. I felt release as I watched the flames consume the paper. I gave myself until my bday. He didn't contact or greet me on my birthday and I took that as a sign to really move on (it had been 5 months by then). Still in NC. I am still in no contact which remains difficult and I do receive messages quite regularly from him but nothing to indicate that he wants to speak about anything important. More to ask questions about the house and to see how I am doing. I have more and more good days but there are also still days where I am absolutely devastated and feel like I have made zero progress. I continue to just focus on the present, make personal goals for the future that only include me and try and focus on my circle of control (things that are within my power vs things that are not). It is a struggle and it is exhausting and I still do not know what I would do if he came back in my life. Regardless of what anyone says that is up to me if/when the time ever comes knowing that even though it is the same person it would be a second marriage if it ever were to come to that.
