This is unbelievable! I've always wanted to buy land and build a series of dwellings for my family. The rat race is so brutal and dehumanizing, i just want somewhere people can come to breath, unwind, and be happy. Pursue their passions. Live off the land. Eat healthy. I want to be able to build shelters that the govt. can't tax or tell me to tear down, or I can't live there. Maybe put them underground. I want somewhere my niece can live and not have to worry about being a burden while she figures out her career. I want somewhere my sister can write her novels and not have to work 12 hour days and still not be able to afford rent. I want somewhere people can come to kick their addictions and find peace. I want to create a sense of community, and not have to watch people struggle and can't help. You guys are so blessed, and your parents should be be so proud of what they have been able to give you and teach you and provide for you. All you kids have such great character and work ethic and knowledge, and you have such a head start! You should be proud of what you built with your own hands! And you get the safety net to nurture and explore your creativity! Thank you for sharing your experience with others, and showing people what is possible! I think we should all be moving in this direction, being self-sufficient and working with natural resources.

But finally I am going to conquer my bedroom and make into something special. I would love to see all of you come together to redo the master bedroom, it would be an inspiration to so many people.✨

Just an idea. They say if you paint porch roofs and overhangs sky blue color wasps won't build nests because they think it's the sky. I'd try it because I hate wasps!
@stephanieh.777

Interesting! I just looked it up (curious by nature!), and it's both a Pennysylvania Dutch and a southern practice: Blue paints used to have lye mixed into them, making them milky blue - or sky blue; lye is a known insect repellent. So the combination may discourage wasps and even spiders! Thanks for helping me learn something new! :-)

Back and can have huge gardens I can't wait till we can move I hope you your wife and daughter is able to go soon u already got the land so y'all could start building a home out there if there isn't one already good luck with your dreams I'm sure you will. I stumbled upon your videos & can see even more utility & comfort in your designs. Thank you so much for posting these on KZfaq! I can get excited about these designs as shared property spaces - shared kitchen & other living spaces (LOVE the MusArt room❣️) & separate bedrooms. if you guys continued building for the next 10 years, your farm will become a big estate on its own. The value of the farm is growing each time you erect a new building with raw materials. You are slowly but surely becoming a rural empire. The best part of it is that you are documenting it. Please do not stop, expand and acquire more land. It is really amazing what you are doing guys. Big up. I'm a fan all the way from rural South Africa

Your family story is really cool. Heartwarming. And instructional. It would REALLY be cool if families which have trouble "getting along" could look at your family's interactions, and come up with ideas on how their family could find a project to actually work together on.
