Depending on how you play it Arcadia is The Institute on a smaller scale, the fact that DiMA cries out in anguish as he strikes doesn't change that.

yes, you haven to do these puzzles and actually you have to do them always even if you choose one of the other Factions in the main game as well as the Far Harbour part. This puzzle hell is ALWAYS part of the FH DLC ..ALWAYS ..XD

There is no railroad ending. Informing the railroad just makes them send a representative. Not much else.

If you decide to help destroy either far harbor or the nucleus, I think it renders the institute mission as failed. I believe. I did the exact opposite. I messed up up things in the vanilla game and didn't get as much out of each faction as I would've liked. I did all the quests possible for the children of atom.. far harbor (aside from the very final one), and arcadia. I then made peace between far harbor and the children of atom.. got as many of the rewards as I could. After Kasumi decided to return to her mother and father and was out of harms way.. after arcadia thought it was at peace, I moved my synths in a took them all. DiMa is kind of a dick after listening to everything the DLC had to offer. And in one of the holotapes you can hear him beating the shit outta Nick!! Hell nah. I made peace with with island.. finished out the Kasumi case with nick. When all seemed well, arcadia mysteriously disappeared. I just wish there was more to the institute side of this quest. You talk to William like twice... shoot up arcadia and that's it. You're the director of the institute. When I saw the notification pop up to notify the institute about arcadia.. I was thinking, calling a board meeting.. talking to the SRB. Just wish there was more depth to this quest.. ah well. Good luck 😊

You have always the option to inform them (since you have done dimas terrible mind puzzle) but you don't need to inform them and if you do not inform them they won't ever be mad about you . They won't even talk about far harbour as well.

@@ace_of_spades1 i was concerned that there was a thing where if you got too close, the game would force you into a conversation with them, so I never went near them after I started Far Harbor. I do not snitch to Slavers thank you. :P joking around tonewise but content wise I'm serious, the Institute may as well be slavers.

You can do the end to Far Harbor where you sort out the differences between the Children of the Atom and Far Harbor itself. Kasumi will then return home to the Commonwealth and then you can inform the Institute about Acadia and reclaim the synths.

If you want to save Kasumi you need to wrap up her story arc before the invasion, or else she will fight along with the synths and thus become your enemy.
