The joy of the project is in the journey, not the finish product. If I wanted a running truck in good condition I would have bought a good running truck. My only plan for this truck was to have fun doing whatever I end up doing to it. And here we are cutting the frame in half, and I'm loving it! But if we want to talk numbers. The frame material is about $250. Coatings will probably be another $100. All the jig material is going to be upcycled into a crane and other shop needs, so I'm excluding that from the price. 350 dollars isn't bad for repairing the frame. My time is excluded as well because if I wasn't enjoying myself in the shop I'd be sitting on the couch playing videos games. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! I'm using a combination of 3x2, 4x2 and 5x2 with 0.125 walls for the frame parts.

@@Obscuremotorsports Okay I would assume that is about the same thickness as the OEM frame? I'm going a little thicker only because I will be slightly undersized in sections. I really wanted to do .1875 but that was not a stocked option from my supplier... anyways I am really looking forward to seeing how your frame turns out!
