Study Bibles are handy tools provided you understand why they are and why they exist. It’s a very easy way to get a myriad of perspectives on a passage of scripture. What you have to keep in mind is whether it’s a person putting it together (like this one) or even a team of people (like the CSB Study Bible) the scriptures alone are inspired. All other things are simply their to aid the Christian in understanding. Commentary can be wrong.
With all that said, I really love the layout, theme, and concept of the Tony Evans Study Bible. To have a bible focused on helping us implement the Kingdom of God in our lives, marriages, families, churches, and communities is a critical element in our daily walk with God. We aren’t here to just avoid hell, we are here to make a difference. Check out my review.
