This is such a sweet song and his beautiful voice is perfect for the message it delivers. Neil Young is such a talented singer/songwriter/lyricist/composer/vocalist!! He does it all so beautifully. The studio version features Linda Ronstadt on backing vocals. Thanks for choosing this. 🌺✌️

Lovely song…. Neil even admitted later that he “unconsciously” lifted the opening guitar riff from The Everly Bros’s song WALK RIGHT BACK. Both gorgeous!❤

I am just an old guy, but I consider myself (in my old age) a hopeless romantic. When I see you guys react to a song, or an artist, that I have felt was romantic or nostalgic, it warms my heart. It's like your reactions give validation to me for things I have held in my heart since first hearing them. I really appreciate you both for what you do to bring out some of the things in music that many don't (or won't) recognize or appreciate. Thank you so much 💙

Great song! Neil is a very talented musician, singer & songwriter. He was with the groups Buffalo Springfield & Crosby, Stills & Nash in the later 60's. Also had his own group with Crazy Horse for a few years. Neil went solo & has had so many great songs over the years.

This is like a musical hug, nostalgic, gentle and warm. I'm only disappointed that you didn't dance with each other! The guitar at the beginning reminds me of the Everly Brothers song 'Walk right back', another beautiful chilled out song with amazing harmonies.

Actually Neil Young is a Canadian from just north of Toronto, Ontario. He spent a number of years living in Winnipeg, Manitoba and developed a love of the Prairies and Great Plains there. Neil started as a folk song singer/songwriter, then moved on to rock and country rock in the 1960s and finally joined Crosby, Stills Nash and Young--one of the absolutely giant groups of the 1960s and 70s. He also pursued a solo career and that is where he really made his mark, especially in the country-folk genre. His best albums are in that category, IMHO, like 1972's "Harvest," 1978's "Comes a Time," and this one "Harvest Moon" from the 1990s. Neil is a prairie boy at heart, I think, and he loves the West of North America and owns a ranch in California. His sound is pretty unique and he calls his band "Crazy Horse" after the great Lakota war chief who fought against Custer and the 7th Cavalry, along with Sitting Bull and many thousands of Lakota and Cheyenne, at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in June 1876. 🤠😉😎💖

I was just to Texas this past spring and visited the oldest "dance hall " in the country. Mid afternoon, small band playing and people dancing on the old wooden floors marked by many years of use. So refreshing and fun. Yes, they do exist and so enjoyable!

You are right. It wouldn't be the same as you think it is. Everyone would be pulling out their iPhones and recording instead of dancing. I see a lot of reactors watching older concerts and are amazed at everyone watching the band and having a great time.

Hello, Andre and Dominica: Such a beautiful song. It was interesting to hear you say that it is so American and I thought that after listening to three of Neil's videos you would know. I don't usually react like this but as I watched this video, I got feeling so proud to be Canadian and that I grew up in the 60s and 70s with all the musical talent that we have here. Your reaction was very moving and I am so glad you liked it.

I wanted this song as our first dance on our wedding day. My wife, to be, wanted Whitney's I Will Always Love You. So, we compromised and had Whitney's I Will Always Love You. Red flags look pink when you're in love, and it turned out not to be the case anyway 😂.

Neil is a great songwriter, back in the day I had a very wise lady friend who said that he paints pictures with his words.....so true. You should check out some of his very upbeat and relevant songs: Southern Man , Down by The River....fo r beautifully crafted acoustic songs try Old Man, Helpless, and The Needle and the Damage Done. I'm really happy I found your channel...love it- Love you Folk as well. I almost feel that I could have hung and shared many a good time with the two of you 50 yrs ago. peace and love old souls

BUT JUST LIKE ELTON AND JETHRO TULL ANDREI & DOMENIQUA, NEIL HAD A HUGE CATALOG AND YOU NEVERRRR KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT!👍😊HE STILL JAMMED AND PLAYED FOR CLOSE TO 30 YEARS MORE YEARS AFTER THIS CAME OUT ( 92 ) 😊 SO ANYWAY WITH NEIL YOU CAN DO A SLU OF ( 2-3 MIN ) BANGERS WITH HIS ACOUSTIC PLAYING, SINGING AND HARMONICA👍 OR YOU CAN DO A SLU OF HIS ( 8 MIN. ) BANGERS WHERE HE JUST GOES OFF WITH HIS ELECTRIC GUITARS AND THAT VOICE AND HE JUST GOES INTO ROCK RANTS, IT'S JUST AWESOME! 💯😊

The group 'Foxes and Fossils' have done a superb cover of this song amongst others such as Neon Moon by Brookes and Dunn. I'm in the UK so wasn't aware of the original Neon Moon but their cover is, again, as good or better than the original.
