I own this 3d printer. If you adjust the plan to perfection and do not requirehigh printing speed, works really well. I use Prusa slicer and never exceed 60mm/s in printing, if you increase the speed, it happens the staggering of the various layers, as you see from your white object.Nozzle brozl 0.6 already closed/ clogged twice with Xpetg carbon extrudr, otherwise assistance Excellent. Recommended product. I love it.

How does one proceed with paring up this printer to Prusa slicer? (As in making the perfect profile.) I have mine set up and plan to do a few test prints with ESun PLA + filament ^^ I have the standard 0.4 mm nozzle on it currently (But have brought and have various other sizes ((0.6 / 0.8 mm etc.)) I just don't want to somehow clog my hot end/extruder etc.) -_-, Any help would be super super appreciated!! :)

Here is what I did to upgrade my hot end on the N3Pro(same hot end I hear). I got a creality sprite heater upgrade kit from polisi3d on amazon. 20 bucks and it came with the heater block(smaller in an area that doesnt matter since the holes line up... just 4mm shorter on the back side), upgraded heater cartridge, upgraded high temp thermistor, titanium copper plated block and nozzle. The heat break is smaller on the sprite...the elegoo uses a CR10 block and heat break. I got a set of 4 bimetal heat breaks that measure 7mm at the top, 27.5mm long, with m6 threads. It is the same as the cr10 heat break. I had to nip the silicone sock to run the thermistor wires out of the right side and install the heat cartridge coming out of the left side (left and right as if you are looking at the hot end while assembled and installed). I also had to splive the old thermistor connector to the wires on the new thermistor. Orientation of wires does not matter on the thermistor.

Could you link the kit you got from amazon? i'm struggling to find exactly the one you are talking about? and do you know if the bimetalic breaks are fine with abrasive filaments like glass and carbon fibre?

I just got this for one of my kids as a Christmas gift. What else do I need to get for them to be able to start printing ?
@3DJake_Official

Just some filament and you're good to go. A good starter filament would be our own ecoPLA or Polymaker PolyTerra filament. Both affordable and perfect for beginners! Start with small prints first and work your way up as you feel comfortable with it.

I think there is a pro in the works but haven't heard anything about a max. I actually tried installing klipper on the Max with the sonic pad, worked fine except there was not much benefit with input shaping, you can't get around that huge bed.

Day and a half with a .8 nozzle? I am getting day and half with a .4 with a Mando helmet. Also if you have the spool holder on the wrong side yes it don't line up with the moveable run out sensor.

I was thinking the same thing about the runout sensor. Seemed like it was on the wrong side of the spool.

How difficult is the base leveling. I’ve recently gotten into 3D cosplay printing. Gifted a new ender 3 and my headaches start and end with the seemingly constant need for readjustments. I saw this machine and thought it would make my life easier with single prints but if it’s prone to readjustment I may go in a different direction
@3DJake_Official
@3DJake_Official Жыл бұрын
I manually levelled it when I got it then autolevelled and I haven't had to make an adjustment since (except when I connected it to a Creality Sonic Pad - a relevelling is necessary when you do that)

If changing to .6 nozzle what changes or setting changes need to be done in orca or cura slicer?
@3DJake_Official
@3DJake_Official Жыл бұрын
I don't think you would really need to change much for a 0.6mm if anything at all. It's not a huge difference, maybe up the temperature an extra 5 degrees but I yeah I don't think you would need to change much.

There is already a Cura profile available with the printer when you get it. As for Prusa Slicer, they actually already have a beta profile by default.

I don't think I changed much besides the speed, it was reduced a bit. The other thing to check is the extrusion percentage/width, it doesn't change with the nozzle size change and is often overlooked

Depends on the ABS. A lot of ABS requires an enclosure. Our own niceABS normally does not require an enclosure, it is a low warp variant so it should work fine on the Neptune 3 Max in most cases.
