Not sure when I can get this ship. I am working on Somers and Thunderer. I do plan on the Groz-DD line after I get DesM. Thanks for showing how good this boat can be

I really enjoy my Neustrashimy in Asia server with around 73% wr over 160 games,I dont really play it like a pure gunboat,but more like a scout/baiter,most of the time i just outspot enemy DD,drop some torps and go dark,the only time i use the guns are when there is a low HP ship that need to be finished or to draw attention to buy time for an allied ship(broadside,another DD,...) RPF is a must for me because you can predict enemy moving pattern to avoid getting into hard situation,also Neustra is really good at drawing CVs attention,so sometimes i trashtalk or get detected intentionally to draw CV attention so other flank can push lol You should try full AA build sometimes :)

Thanks for the info on Asia, I dont have an account there and I dont get much opportunity to see the difference in meta between NA and EU. CVs trying to kill Neustrashimy is hilarious. In my testing Its far more likely to not have a functional gun or torp tube left on the ship than actually sinking. My initial game was played as a torp boat. I think its still my damage record in her. It can work well.

You mention a 5.6 conceal, but the linked build isn't with CE and so has a 6.2 detectability range. Very nice job explaining the ship.

@@destroyerkuroshiokai NP enjoy the vids and loving the Neutrashimy. BTW my son is a Russian language expert. The name is pronounced like Nu TRA shi me. Took me a few tries with his prodding. That's for recommending it over the Sommers, for that role I like the Benham.

Well, she's coming back for coal in a few days and I have a couple of spare Ovechkin 15 pointers lying around, so... PT LS SI CE, and then? Number of times I wish I'd had RPF on my Ognevoi captain is legion. Maybe that and leave the last point free.

I’d take BFT and AR. She’s not like Ognevoi where you get out spotted by a ton of things. Focus more on going where you think you need to go to win and force enemy DDs to bump into you or force them to come to you because of points. RPF isn’t needed in most cases, just play like a DD might be there and have a plan to deal with that. Doing that opens up a lot more damage potential on your boats. RPF in my opinion is a crutch that stifles a players intuition because it gives the info away free, but at the cost of combat capability.

@@destroyerkuroshiokai I respect your views on RPF, but my intuition is a very dull blade that I have trouble sharpening and I can't deal out damage if I'm dead. I also have issues with taking AR on a boat whose major drawcard is that she can regenerate health and negate the skill. In Randoms, I use RPF to know where the trouble is and try to avoid an ambush; in Co-op I actively use it as a hunting tool. All the bots more or less have RPF on me anyway; I might as well even the balance. Nevertheless, I will take her out with one of my existing non-RPF captains that has CE (the benefits of premiums!!) and see how things go at first.

@@destroyerkuroshiokai Okay, so I got her and put a couple of different captains in her to try things out. Beginning to think points 11 to 13 need to go into Superintendent, given how this thing lives or dies on its consumables. She has too few heals and smokes for my liking ATM. The other big question is slots 3 and 6. Irrespective of whether you _prefer_ it, do you think a torpedo build is viable?

@@Ensign_Cthulhu Watch my maiden voyage video I’m running more of a torp build. You can run SI, I don’t because I normally don’t need the extra consumable and the extra fire chance makes the gun build more viable. Yes a torp build can with you just can’t be as aggressive hunting DDs. I run accuracy and reload in those slots but you can run TTM3 if you want to play more like a classic torp boat.

@@destroyerkuroshiokai After a bit of playing around with the WOWSFT and comparing against your build I've decided to go all-in for torps on the ship modules and run a binational Ovechkin with {PT LS SE CE} SI, AR. Extra consumables are always nice to have, and that Ovechkin can then serve on all my US premium destroyers as well and would not look out of place on the US/VMF cruisers either. Considered EM, but that's superfluous on the American DDs. All-in on torps also lets me put my Ognevoi captain with TAE in her for co-op and significantly decrease the reload time, important in that mode. Of course the skills rework is coming eventually and that will mean a rethink, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

I really would like to pick up this ship. But Im only at 3k steel and my clan is too bad/ too little in numbers for clan battles. I guess it will take me some time. Was hoping for a good snowflake event but well, that didnt happened. Edit: I have a question though: Has the Neustrashimy good credit earning potential? I noticed that youre not getting more credits from its perma camo. Does the Black have an advantage here? Obviously Im contemplating to get Black because its much cheaper, even though Id rather have the Neustrashimy. It just seems like it has more tools and can adopt to any situation...you can be a sneaky stealthy torpboat, you can be the assassine, you can openwater gunboat, you can smokefire, you have a good aa with 5 definive aa, and on top of that youre tanky as hell with those zombie heals. Its probably outright better then Black right?

Credit potential feels about the same. I havent cared enough about credits in ages to really analyse the two. Where Black does have an advantage is the special camos available for clan and ranked battle tokens. You get one token for completing a certain threshold, so many wins in Typhoon for CB and rank 1 in a regular ranked battles season. These camos offer a bonus 150% XP, commander XP and FXP. Flint has a similar camo that offers 100% as well. They are rewards from ranking out before we went to the steel economy, and the Black camo is probably the best XP camo in the game. I keep holding on to tokens hoping they add a Neustra version. I think Neustra is better rounded and has more tools and options to win than Black. I'll see if I can do a quick video on how I farm steel and coal. Maybe it helps some guys out.

got my neustrashimy yesterday further to watching your vids. only 1 game (sadly a defeat because retarded teammates ) but i saw the huge potential of this ship ! i think people despise the ship because they don't have a tactical mindset and thus can't make it work. anyway keep up the good vids and may the new year bring you better health and happiness with your dinos :)

@@destroyerkuroshiokai i love the ship but these days it seems all my teammates are only making stupid moves and completely random shit. i always end up 1st or 2nd in the losing team but i can't carry all these retards playing during holidays season...sorry for the rant but it extremely frustrating for me to do all that it takes to win, just to see my teammates throw all this overboard...always playing the long game but these days most of the team is gone in 10mn...

Had a winning streak this night with neustra :) i'm embracing the coakroach lifestyle now with my udaloi captain (bft+aft+ce) with concealment & main battery module . This ship is indeed a monster :)

Dropping a video shortly on how to farm steel, coal and other resources. If looking for an active clan take a look at the League results where you feel your skill level is. Visit that clans page in game, it probably has recruiting info and instructions. It might take some work to find where you can get in, have everything you want mode wise, and be happy. I think its well worth the time spent searching.

you only get steel from competitive modes. Join a clan that does clan battles, even squall and gale league together are worth roughly 2500-300 steel, and going to rank 5 every ranked season is worth about 2500 steel, combine that with the ship coupons you can get 1-2 steel ships a year. Also, keep all your t10s and t9s in port for the Xmas snowflakes that give you some free steel, much easier than in ranked :D
