AWESOME truck with one big problem: 16/16 mpg is just terrible. If the MPG doesn't bother you then it's one super sweet rig @ a reasonable price point.

If they could have actually delivered some 2023’s that would be great, only a handful actually made it to a dealership while hundreds have new in “in transit” for months. New CEO gonna kill this company with her “stop building to keep supply tight” strategy.

Really nice looking truck. I think its better looking than most midsize trucks. I do wish, they would work on the mpgs and bring that upwards. I'm not a fan of the piano black around the shifter specialy the glare you get off of it.

Interesting they did follow the Silverado ZR2 with the exhaust tips being tucked under the bumper to give the departure clearance.

What has GM done about the trans/torture converter issue. It's kinda hard to buy one when I know for a fact they have issues. I don't like wrenching, or going in for service.

I looked at a Colorado Bison 2 years ago, they wanted 55k for it and wouldn’t budge on the price. I ended up buying a used 2019 4runner sr5 instead. I paid more than I wanted to spend, but it came with a 3” King lift with adjustable reservoirs, SCS brushed copper wheels and 275/70r17 BFG KO2’s.

I like that theirs a button to wash the bottom camera wish they did that with all cams

Nice truck!. It is neck and neck with the 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro in the looks department.

The underneath camera is excellent for me, to see if there are any cat resting under the wheels.

The price is absolutely fair for what you get on this ZR2. I always laugh at the Boomers that find it necessary to proclaim that their full-size truck was $40K maxed out just 7 years ago.

You should find another Limited Night Edition! I just test drove a new 2023 model and it was superrrr sick! Super pricy but seems worth what you pay? Yay or nah?

Wish there was an option to get heated seats and vented cooling seats without forcing us to get leather seats....i prefer the material seats on the zr2 but i really need the heated and vented seats for where i live.... 😢

Now thats one badass mid-size truck! Very capable and looks the part. I suspected the ZR2 will end up being the better value than compared to the upcoming Raptor.

They moved the shock mounts to edge by the tire (good) improvement

The new Colorado/Canyons look great inside & out. I even like the engine. But, I worry about good old GM quality, reliability, how these will be with a 100k miles. 😐 I saw a new oil change video on these and they now have plastic oil pans & plastic drain plugs. How stupid. 😂

These have barely arrived in CA. 95% shown for sale are still “ in transit” and nearly none have a pic of the actual vehicle. It’s like a unicorn, you hear about them, good luck finding one.

I notice the rear bumper is not notched out like my 2022.

One would think that going with diesel, the economy would be better than gas? Wth? My 05 express cargo with an LS2 364ci gas! engine has been clock at 22.9 mpg many times over and it has 267k! Am I missing something here?

Ill buy one with a v6 no e no i no turblow 4. All the people i talk to that has one says they are junk for the price and they will never buy another chevy or gmc. Ill trust the opinion of the people that actually have one.

Sorry GM,Tacoma offers a V6 and a manual tranny. I vote Tacoma for that reason alone.

The dealer should let you add a winch from the factory for the price I could buy the older version for way less and the v6 will be more reliable

16 MPG??? That's it? I get that with my Ram 1500 with a 6 inch lift and 35's. Plus it has more HP, torque, payload, and towing capacity. They're going to need to figure out a way to get these mid-size trucks closer to 30 mpg before I would even consider buying one.

That truck is amazing. and you're right that Toyota has their work cut out for sure. But since this truck almost has the same amount of power as the new hybrid Tacoma without the added expense of a hybrid system, and since they have a front locker that Tacoma STILL doesn't have... This truck will be a much better choice. I am a huge fan for sure..

I have a 2018 Colorado Zr2 and I prefer the naturally aspirated 3.6 DOHC over the 2.7 twin turbo. Theres alot of this that both models still have and i do like the looks of the 2nd gen better. And the new one has a girly push button start.

The ZR2's towing capacity is 6,000 lbs, not 7,700 lbs.

16 mpg? Wow, I think the Ranger Tremors gets better mileage. I’m not sure if this can compete with the Ranger Raptor. But it is a nice Mall Truck.

I never thought that I would say this, but get ready to rip me. I would take the ZR2 over a Tacoma. I live in CO, and this beast can do most trails here. I watched a TRD Tacoma break on Black Bear Pass as it didn’t have enough tire, or off-road capability to complete the trail. The AEV version of this is amazing…

This and the new Tacoma Trail Hunter I have been waiting for to come out to see which was better. Great looking truck, but the back seat sucks and the 16/16 mpg is awful. I was hoping to step down from a 1/2 ton 23 Ram but this could be too much of a drop off on those two items. Ram is an ecodiesel getting 23 combined with lift and 35s for comparison.

We’ll see in couple of years what thy Chevy will be worth 💯

Love the new Colorado ZR2...but "RIP Toyota Tacoma"?? In what way? The 2024 Taco looks just as good, has a nicer interior, more power, more torque while being MUCH more efficient at the pump, and likely better reliability. Both are badass mid-size pickup trucks, just being real about it.

Black may be the only “bad” color for that vehicle. Hides all the blacked out stuff and the lines.

52 thousand dollars would be a bargain if I could drive it like I stole it for the next twenty years and everything worked as advertised but I'd be willing to bet that it won't be reliable for more than a few years

I think if chevy could have just made a zr2 with 35’s and another 1” of lift they would have stolen a lot of customers from the competition…the bison is a little overkill and overpriced, but just 35’s and 1” more of suspension lift would have been a huge win.

I love the look but Japanese truck parts last longer compared to American parts they break less.

There’s a reason these trucks are taking a decent slice out of the street tacos sales. City’s buy them in hoards for fleets for several reasons. 1, they’re super easy to work on. 2, they’re WAY cheaper than a similarly priced midsized Toyota. 3 upgrades are cheap if your handy at all. 4, 25k get you the base model. 10k in upgrades would match this no problem for 35k. Besides the lame tech your paying way too much for. Mines a 2021 Z71 with some basic mods. It’ll smoke this in horsepower. I take it off-road on the weekly and it rips. This guy must be getting some back door action from Chevy tho lol. Way to spendy for a midsize anything. JMO.

If you *gifted* the Ford to me I’d still sell it and buy the Colorado ZR2. It just doesn’t compare in design.

The Tacoma has a v-6 so you are going to have much more power.
