Needless to say, Dark Road is taking a lot of effort and time as well, as there are A LOT of flashbacks and monologues scattered around, even bits occurring during Birth by Sleep. I have no way to re-record the battles without background music, but I do have some tricks in my mind that I'll have to try in the next episodes. Dark Road should last 4 episodes, so that Birth by Sleep will start on Episode 16. I took my time to upload this, so I'm sorry if it took longer than I originally planned, but I'm currently very busy and it's a real challenge having to consider all of this stuff for the Timeline. As always, please let me know what you think of this and if you have any suggestions I should be taking into account. - - Explaining the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project - As many of you already know, the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project started back in April 2018 as a way to prepare all of us for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. What is the Timeline project? Basically, you'll see all of the story events as they chronologically happen. Which is seemingly easy to do, but...if you're familiar with Kingdom Hearts, then you do know the series is so full of flashbacks, callbacks and retcons, that it's extremely easy to lose track of them. I always like to think of the Timeline as an experiment. I wasn’t sure if it could be a welcome one but, somehow, it was so well received that it exceeded my expectations. The original Timeline was just a way to re-live all of the Kingdom Hearts titles leading to KH3, in a different, yet familiar way. I never had plans to go back to it, as I was fully aware of all the flashbacks and callbacks that could be added in the future titles. I don’t really like the idea of uploading new, fixed episodes every now and then-it would just confuse all of you (and, more than anyone, myself!) Still, the requests and messages I received in the past few years made me reconsider my plans. More than anything, I did plan to complete the KHUX saga, as it was the only incomplete title when KH3 came out. So here we are! Now that KHUX ended I have everything at my disposal for making the ultimate, complete chronological version of this title. I can’t stress enough the purpose of this project-this doesn’t want to be the best or the perfect way of experiencing the Kingdom Hearts saga. All of the titles should be played following their release dates. The Timeline is simply an alternate way of experiencing the story we already know and only players who already played the games should watch it. New players would be spoiled about some plot points, so be warned. This project gives you a different perspective on specific events, and the adding of new musics, flashbacks, callbacks and secret reports, makes the whole experience even more unique and immersive. A: No. I’ll just reupload the episodes containing flashbacks/callbacks that we got to see after the release of KH3. For instance, the beginning of Birth by Sleep will be reuploaded since I’ll have to add the dialogue between Master Xehanort and Vanitas at the Land of Departure, occurring in Dark Road. 2) Q: Will the old episodes be deleted? A: No. All of the episodes will stay, but the new ones will have the text “NEW” in the thumbnail and in the video title. The new episodes will replace the old ones in the Timeline playlist in my channel. 3) Q: Will you be making KH3 as well? A: Yes, but my main goal was completing both KHUX and Dark Road. I do have some plans for KH3 but I’m considering of using the PC version of it, so I can disable the music through mods and do some…special stuff. There's no way I can put the whole story of Missing-Link in the Timeline, not in the near future. That game's story might last some years, like it happened with KHUX. I'm really looking forward to see how the rest of Dark Road will be handled. It's only been out for a few months at this point, but it's really cool to re-experience the game here in chronological order. Just seeing the highlighted, separate games at 0:18, I can't help but smile. It's a small detail, but knowing that I'm about to see pieces from different games in one video gets me excited, and curious on how it will be handled. It's one of the coolest things about the Timeline, in my opinion. I'm especially looking forward to the re-adapting of Xehanort's reports from both BBS and KH3 in upcoming episodes. Also, nice touch with placing the Missing Link trailer here. We at least have an idea about it, but it also helps to transition to the Destiny Islands scenes with the Player and Xehanort.

Still I noticed you edited the last part of the flashback of union x to show your player from the game. Well it does make sense since the player was mostly omitted, and only their hand was shown in the new update

On this day, we follow the adventures of our eventual adversary, Xehanort, when he was a young man. For my Star Wars mind, I would say this would take place during the High Republic era.

Hopefully Missing Link will come out sometime next year, so we can start diving into the bits in that point in the series

I have the feeling, (now that they have emphasized how vital Xehanort is to the plot) that somehow some way they will bring him back in KH 4 and completely redeem himself much like Anakin in Return of the Jedi.

And there it is. The missing Darkness that we saw fighting against Luxu.

I find it interesting how they keep Brain's fate ambiguous, I wonder if he traveled a second time whether by accident or on purpose after fighting "Darkness".

the first time i played kingdom hearts 3, i believed the whole game was a story being told by xehanort and eraqus in their chess game, with proof being in the game's opening cutscene, in which events from past games are seen as the chess pieces are moved on the board, among similar scenes

I very rarely disagree with anything on these, but, Why do you think the Chess scene happens as the first major chronological thing in Scala? They played Chess all the time. I very much doubt the Chess scene happens immediately before that conversation, especially since in the KH III Promo chess scene, Xehanort is literally already talking about stopping Eraqus, which makes no sense at that moment before Dark Road even begins. That specific chess scene has to be when they are about to split up and go their separate ways of light and dark. Xehanort wasn’t obsessed with Dark before Dark Road (literally in the name) But he was by the time the exam was gonna happen.

I'm starting to think that the hero from Union X was Sora's previous life. I say this because in Dream Drop Distance, when the Organization XIII put Sora to sleep, we appeared first at the moment where the Young Xehanort met Xehanort's Heart from the future. It was a dream, yes, but at the same time a travel in the past, and you can only be in places and time where a previous version of yourself have been. The only person that were with Xehanort in that moment should have been our old self before dying :P
