TBH, this should have been the first story they told for House of the Dragon instead of the Dance of the Dragons.

HBO is the only company that has a plethora of material, a fan base more dedicated than most ppl are to their spouses and yet so cautious to commit to these projects.

I'm hoping this opens the door for a series set in old Valyria centuries before the Doom so we can see what life is like for the Dragon Lords and families of the old civilization.

I want to see Aegon's conquest for sure but I wish they did it as a movie trilogy rather than a tv series. ASOIAF deserves to be seen on a big screen. Just imagine all the special effects, dragons and epic music and how amazing would it be to watch it on IMAX!

HBO working in reverse order hopefully means we'll one day get a series about Old Valyria. I'd love to see a series about Valyria and all the hundreds of dragons and dragonlord families.

I have 3 shows in my wish list: 1) Dunk and Egg (a lighter show and doesn't need as high of a budget), 2) the Conquest (an epic show high budget show that goes over decades) and 3) finally, to end it where it all began, Robert's Rebellion.

Aegon flew from old Valyria ? lol Valyria was long gone when aegon set out for conquest . It was aenar who flew from old Valyria to dragon stone which was a Targaryen vacation spot . I do believe this show will come to life tho . There was a time HotD was only rumor and look where we're at now . As fans , and spectators of game of thrones and hotd u constantly hear "aegon the conqueror" yet the story is only known through books . To see it on our tv screens , it would be something magical that would give goosebumps , watching him get crowned by his sister and slowly making the kingdoms bend the knee . Then they can expand into aenys maegor and finally jahaerys , I want to see all of him and alysannes kids all their dragons , how they hatched the eggs putting them in cradles , Alyssa Farman , all that would be quite the spectacle and hbo can capitalize if they understand what the people wanna watch .

Give it to us! We’ve been waiting. Give us multiple GoT shows at the same time. We will watch and rewatch!

Things I hope this series brings: - The dynamic between Aegon x Rhaenys/Aegon x Visneya, especially since it was widely known that he favoured Rhaenys over Visenya. - The forging of a LORE-ACCURATE Iron Throne. If you haven't seen it already, look it up. - No half-assing around with key moments. The Burning of Harrenhal and The Field of Fire should be something out of a hardcore horror movie. Death, carnage, and fire everywhere. - End the series with the peace treaty after Aegon gets the letter from Dorne.

Is just hard to fathom that ALL OF THIS FANTASY AND BEAUTY. BLOOD SHED AND LORE came from one man's heart and brain and soul. I'm 65 years old. I've been alive to see and hear and read amazing stories. War and Peace, The Wizard of Oz. Gone with the Wind. James Cameron gave us the Terminator series, Stephen King, Mark Twain.. and on and on. In my humble opinion, George R.R.Martin had created the best, most epic and fascinating and amazing stories of my life. He is number one for me. To be honest, geniuses can't be compared to each other fairly... The creative masters of our time have given us the best of EVERYTHING. However, if I were to be sent onto a island with only ONE group of stories to be my ONLY source of entertainment and release... it would be all of the stories written by Mr. Martin. The brilliance and wonder this man has gifted us with would be enough to keep me entertained for the rest of my life. I've tried 3 times to get INTO the books and 3 times I've failed. But.... if I was to be stranded away from the world, i promise, I'd read all of them!

Listening to George tell the story, its as though he's a history teacher, he goes into such depth about the characters its as though they really lived ... love it :-)

I think they should have done series on each House. Named the series House Targaryen, House Stark, House Baratheon, The Knights Watch, etc., & maybe a series about Kings Landing, the common folk. Each series starting from the earliest records of that House, & ending at The Siege of Pike roughly a decade before Game of Thrones. All the lesser significant houses that don't get their own series, would've been incorporated into the other houses stories. Either way, nearly endless possibilities... Dorne & its history would make a great series too. Aegon the Conquerer, & the very beginning (first long night, children of forest, etc.) with Bran the Builder, the star of the Nights Watch, & the Wall giing up is the 2 I look most forward to, along with the books, that I've gave up on

Brother, I’ve been a loyal subscriber for a few years now. I’m now getting back into re-binge mode gearing up for S2 of HoTD. Revisiting this channel is like reuniting with your best friend who lives across the country. Major props to you for consistently having the pulse of this fanbase & putting out excellent content for as long as you have. I can’t speak for everyone else, but you’ve certainly enhanced my experience as a fan who was brand new to the fantasy genre.

The one thing I hope they do is show a little bit of freehold culture. I mean, let’s face it. The ones who write the history are not descendents of the freehold they claim their ancestors are the only one who fought the freehold not only is in the book that’s not even true. It’s clear that they ran away and not fought them. I just want to the Targaryen pre-conquest see the ethnic groups of the seven kingdoms

Since this is the first and most important story...I think it'd be better served as a feature film or say, a 6 hr mini series event as opposed to drawing it out over years.

They need to make it 3 part movie . 1st Aegon and Argalac fighting with the free cities when Aegon has his dream. 2nd the landing and conquoring of westeros with Torrehn Stark kneeling and them talking about his dream. 3rd all the swords built into the iron throne , the 1st dornish war and the conflicts of rule . It can be done ... in a very Lord of the rings style for Martin and it limits the greenlighting of 52 different shows creating a cluster So we can enjoy the work and the story
