Unless George finishes this series himself I will not be reading anything further, regardless if say a Brandon Sanderson type of author came along and completed the story. So until or unless George finishes both planned books in ASOIAF, I will not be returning to Westeros.

James S A Corey is the only possible finisher other than GRRM. Ty was his assistant and Daniel was a somewhat protégé.

I think he's writing both at the same time to not miss out of plot details or anything of that sort.

Brandon Sanderson have been saying that if he's asked to complete ASOIAF - he'll refuse. Partly because his style of writing is too different and partly because he has SOOO much stuff on his own to put out. He did recommend Joe Abercrombi for the job and... I'm not sure how I feel about it.

If it wasn't against George's wishes for someone else to write it, I'd go for Joe Abercrombie. I think he'd do a great job

I just hope he'll prepare something for the fans to know how he imagine what ought to happen in the missing books. He is a good story teller. He could film himself telling the story and lock the film in a safe with his instructions. Just in case.🤷

Sanderson is the complete opposite in style and approach. If any talented writers knows more, it is probably James S. A. Corey (Daniel Abraham and Ty Frank). Ty was George's assistant and Daniel collaborated with George as well for comic book adaptations etc. If they pick anyone else, I hope they'll do the Sanderson-method and pick a lesser known author who was initially inspired by George's style. Someone like myself, even if I see my chances as slimmer than a fingernail on a skyscraper. (I'm Dutch, lol)

How many of their mothers did he rape? How many of these children does he make sure are taken care of? Yeah, I feel super sorry for Aegon...NOT.

I would have loved it if he prepared for ending it like how the Wheel of Time did

I have an idea. Tell George David Benioff and Daniel Weiss will finish his books for him if he doesn’t finish them himself. Or Kathleen Kennedy. That will put the fear of god into him and hopefully motivate him to finish them quickly.
