The 'mistakes' Sora makes is due to the fact that a real world model (of all things) is not yet a part of the software. It is based on many examples. There is also a 'wildcard' or chaos setting that makes the images so original. But at the same time some details that are obvious not correct to us, Sora doesn't know (because of the absense of the real world model). This is what I just understood from a newspaper article.

20:00 I would say that Sora is a new model and will replace DALL-E. So I would look to single frames from Sora for the quality of the images you'll get from OpenAI in the future. OpenAI devs have recently said that Sora is not going to be available "anytime soon". Perhaps that will come in November/December with GPT-5 after the US Elections?

I think I can see societal collapse from here. A countdown to Sora dropping feels like a countdown to doomsday, or the slow seeping into one.

New York city is 67% minority but the crowds of people in the background look more like the demographics of European cities or Iowa then New York city. This is not about political correctness it's a reality check that anyone from New York would notice right away. When you're making things "realistic" reality has to be taken into account. Hasn't the geometry and physics as well as lighting interactions been part of 3d rendering since the first Pixar 3d software released in the 90s? Makes sense that we are where we are. Still having trouble with words, letters and Chinese characters. Still cool though.
