I know that jb weld putty at the auto parts store works good for plugging small holes, because you can sand it when it hardens. But I'd recommend drilling a drain hole in the bottom of every post you've drilled into, so water can't stand in them and rust.

1. Drill guide $10 drill straight holes, but if there are two guys on the project you should be able to help the guy drilling the holes 2. Since you moved the tubes back to avoid the bolt going inside the upright, your cable will most likely catch on the frame of the trailer. I know because I have the same trailer. I drilled the holes where the upright tubes are and used extensions on the ratchet. 3. You need M8 x1.25 x100 mm stainless steel carriage bolts (amazon) to mount the tubes. The springs are catching on the heads of the bolts you used to mount the tubes.

So I just installed my grill a lift kit today and I had no problems I didn't even have to read the instructions and it works absolutely greatyou can use just one but it makes your tailgate come up crooked which weakens the structure it's best to put both on so it pulls the tailgate evenly

I don't understand what keeps the gate from slamming forward when the spring is pulling the gate up. I put some garage door springs on my trailer and it seems to want to pull the gate out of your hands when you lift it. I'm guessing it's something to do with my placement on the springs

I got the no name brand unit and they only included too long of a hardware so had to go. I did mine on one side, seems to work fine, and my gate is very heavy.

Pizza is a bit heavy handed on your tools etc,I thought I saw a level on the electric drill so how he does not drill holes level is beyond me as you can always use a tape measure to get them right etc. Another quality video from the ninjas. sounds like the spring knocking against one of those bolts. ramps are a very sore subject with me. I have what we call a "beavertail" basicly a flat bed Mercedes van with a ramp. company that made them decided to run a high tension spring ontop of the ramp so you constantly trip over the thing, they could do with watching your video mate. new lawn care set ups looking good! glad there is going to be less scag rolling around even if they are pretty good machines, sometimes customer service is high priority than reputation. all good having great mowers but not so much if they are sat in a workshop 2 months a year wasting possible work time.

The click is because you need carriage bolts so the spring slides over the head, its catching on yer bolts.

uesing one side works but useing both sides will reduce the wear a lot

Two things...1. You need carriage bolts inside the spring tubs so they don't catch on the spring 2. You should have a washer on the outside of the cable loop connection on the bolt attached to the tailgate...to minimize the possibility of the cable loop "jumping off" the bolt

It depends on size of gate if you have a bigger gate you need two but your average size gate only one is needed

There should be large washers on the gate bolts so the wire doesn't pop of the bolt.

its the hexed head bolts they supply carrage bolts so spting will glide over it.

Wouldnt it been better to just drill new whole in the gorilla to get it in the right spot lmao
