Came out great, I went with new silverado wheels of a 2016 that are chrome (look like mickey thompson wheels without the mickey thompson price). I did buy the same tires though, they look great on this style truck

Did you have to do any work outside of a leveling kit to fit the new wheels? What size of tires do you have?

Always enjoy your videos Suburban Ranch. What size were the BF's you put on your truck here in this video? Thanks

Where can I find a chart with the correct torque for the wheels? I do not have stock rims. Mine are 10.5 inches wide. Thanks!
@SuburbanRanch3 ай бұрын
I would use the stock torque setting

Do you know the best place to find a set of these rims?

eBay? Or junkyard.

Great video. I just did this on my 1990 GMC Z71. I am having trouble finding replacements for the center caps. Can I ask where you got new ones?

@Scott Williams Amazon. The title is misleading, but I did lots of research to confirm they were the same and they fit perfectly. a.co/d/gElt7KO

I inherited a 1997 GMC K1500 SLT extra-cab from my dad. It had been sitting in a shop for years. It was very well taken care of,only has 135k miles on it and is very clean. I want to put new tires on it. What leveling kit did you use? Are any better or worse? I have seen the prices range from $60-$230. Do you get any tire rub with the original rims? Also, I have read new upper control arms are needed to prevent wear on steering / suspension components. Your thoughts? Also, outside of flushing all fluids what else would you recommend I do prior to regular driving? PS... Thanks for the great content. I am now a subscriber to your channel.
@SuburbanRanch8 ай бұрын
No leveling kit. I wouldn’t bother, you can crank the stock torsion keys if you want to raise the front. I wouldn’t recommend it, trucks look better with a rake. No rub with the original wheels. Start with flushing the fluids and go from there!

So you can run 33's on 16" rims with no leveling kit and still have no rub?

There is a guy up here who scraps the trucks removes the wheels and scraps for aluminum what a waste .
@robsdeviceunknown11 ай бұрын
who would invest that much into stock rims? I guess if you are doing a full restoration.
