NEWBORN Baby Uses the POTTY 🤯 In the Morning!

ALL MAMMALS NEED TO PEE WHEN THEY WAKE UP! Doesn't matter if you're a human baby, a grown orangutan, a baby wolf, or a grown elephant. When a mammal wakes up, the ADH hormone wears off, bladder fills up, and it needs to pee.
In this video I demonstrate a morning wake up pee & poo over the sink with my Baby Branson, then a 7 day old newborn.
We take advantage of our nature, for sure, with elimination communication (EC or infant potty training) by offering the potty to our babies, from as early as birth (which is honestly BEST), when they wake up from night or nap! Hold your newborn over the potty, sink, or toilet next time he or she wakes up, say the "pssssss" sound (universal cue that it's okay to go peepee), and be amazed!

Lovely! I admire your energy very much - we didn't feel ready to start EC until around 4 months due to the sheer exhaustion from postpartum. We've had lots of fun with part time EC since then (baby is now 6.5). Thank you for the inspiration and your great resources (we use your book)

HUGE questions- most toddlers i see are in daycare already by age 2 or younger depending on moms work, but does EC affect when you can put them in daycare, work out of the house and have sitters? From what I hear, you can never leave your kid’s side and be around them 24/7. And this is hard to tell for the mom if she can go back to work, put them in daycare/have sitters. Why do you have to have the kid be naked at all? What if i don’t want to have a commando kid running around? Also, do you have to cosleep if you EC? I hear a lot of what happens when you cosleep and just for moms sanity i wouldn’t want to. Does this make it impossible if you wanted to EC?

That's a lot to cover!! In short... you can do EC in a way that works with your lifestyle! Part-time EC can be very successful, and nighttime is completely optional 😃 My podcast (of searching this you tube channel) would be a great place to learn more about part-time EC and how it works with daycare too 💕

Why have the baby go in the sink when other kids are washing their hands or brushing their teeth?

Believe it or not, to prevent the infant from falling into a toilet😮. It's probably better, however, to have a morning baby evacuation routine to take place in a SAFE bathtub or shower area (Don't drop your baby!) if one is concerned about bathroom sink hygiene 😊

I had a friend that asked me to move in with him and help with the kids at toilet training for his son who was autistic and ten he would have to be changed a lot seven or eight times a day hes daughter is seven and wont poop in potty hides to poop in diaper i told my friend,dad they are going to wear there diaper or use the potty for pooping in so i can buy them pullups and say no to diaper the third kid was almost a year old and she would sign a pinky to the air for potty time so I thought I would teach her to go potty first and have the kids watch her sit on tiny toilet seat and yes it worked his ten year old stood there and pooped his diaper i put him in time out for a few minutes and let his sister help me change his poopy butt that was the last time he went poop in diaper on purpose but he was autistic so i couldn't punish him alot they would listen to me sister refused to go poop in the toilet i would hold her and she did not like it so i said its okay just let me know when you are ready for me to change your butt when she feels its time to poop she would hide and poop

Hmmm.... that's a tricky one as my LO is only a couple months old. Usually I start to do that when/if they fuss for a change between 6-12mo. Basically you use your thigh like a saddle - put baby on there, undo diaper and remove it then place a fresh diaper on leg, sit baby on it and do it up! Now, if you have a big poop, this is probably not the best plan, but hopefully you catch most of those in the potty! 😉 I'll see if I can do a little demo or something on this.
