It is rough. Can they grab the hips and slide down onto legs or a leg? You have to give defenders something. Like no pivot/drag while landing on leg; instead a grab, pull a little and slide down to trip on a leg or legs? Plus part of it is offensive players fighting, sometimes you have to go down to avoid injury. This seems more like one you train offensive players to just go down.

Defensive players should call a strike for training camp, they would retract it within a week.

players can change things......all the defensive players have to do is,,,,,,,NOTHING,,,,,,let the offensive players score every play. make it so lame they are forced to change

They are only concerned about safety when it's convenient for them. The players have been asking for field turf to be banned yet the Billionaire owners don't want the added costs of natural grass.

What a complete mess this has become. Yes football is violent, yes people get hurt. They are also paid MILLIONS. Don't get mad when you hear flag football comments because that is the way it is inevitably headed...

It'll take some coaching but they can still tackle AND not collapse on defenseless ball carriers legs. They're great athletes, they will adapt by knowing the guy is going down and rolling off. Plus, quicker zebra whistles will become normal.

Ban the sack play!!! 7 starting QBs got hurt last year on sacks! Ban the most dangerous play in the sport!!! I won't watch another game if I see a QB getting hit!!!
