i think a big reason why he has always been considered the biggest bust is due to the success of Peyton Manning. If he was drafted 2nd overall in say 2005 with Alex Smith as the #1 pick would we be talking about him as much in these draft bust conversations? Its why Darko Milicic is always going to be considered one of the biggest draft busts in the NBA, cause he was selected over melo, dwade, and chris bosch. Or sam bowie, cause he was selected over jordan.

Set the franchise back for years and years due to his cap hit (chargers rebounded quicker from this gaffe)
