In this POV test drive we take the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve midsize luxury SUV for a test drive in the countryside of Canada! Here we test the smoothness of the optional 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine and the 8-speed automatic, while also testing the headlights, high-beams and optional night vision / thermal camera mode of this Jeep Grand Cherokee! We also use this opportunity to look perform an emergency braking test!

Did you find the cabin was well insulated from road noise? Do you know if the windows are double pane?

We use night vision all the time on our 2023 Jeep GC L Summit Reserve model. So many deer here in PA. It’s invaluable. Thx for posting.

I couldn't see adjustments from the adaptive headlights in the corners (moving into the turn, adjusting back). Were they turning or just adjusting the beam pattern/enabling supplemental corner lighting? Was it a helpful feature? Thanks.

If I recall correctly the Jeep's lights didn't pivot, but there are additional cornering lights that enable when you turn in / use the indicator as you can see on the right at 8:00. Always helpful, but the night vision makes most of these adjustable headlights redundant I find.

Nice review Does it ride smoother than previous generation ? I currently have 2020 GC overland and it on the stiff side with crazy body roll

I haven't driven the previous generation GC, but the new air suspension is overall really nice and eats up most road imperfections and bumps easily! Body roll is also managed way better now. Hope that helps!
