I came close to throwing out my Silicone Ice Cube Trays,, they were only a year old. I then tried the Baking Method and I'm happy to report that it worked and I no longer have Smelly Ice Cubes!!

In this video I will show you a very easy method to get rid of your Smelly Ice Cubes

I tried many methods in hopes of getting rid of the odor in the Silicone Ice Cube Trays. None of them worked. How to clean Silicone Ice Cube Trays.
0:43 I then tried Baking The Silicone Ice Cube Trays to get rid of the Smell
0:56 Make sure your Ice Cube trays are Silicone and not Plastic or Rubber. Place the Trays and Covers on a Baking Sheet. Bake 350* Fahrenheit for 1 Hour. Cool on a wire rack.
1:12 I'm happy to report that Baking the Silicone Ice Cube Trays removed all the Odors
1:27 New Ice Cubes that do not have any odor ~ No more Smelly Ice Cubes ~ No more Smelly Silicone Ice Cube Trays

Oh cool! What a great hack to know! I have an ice maker that does the crushed ice as well as cubes so have not used the silicon before, but who knows what the future will bring now we know how to deal with it if we have this problem! I loved your videos!!! Much love always! 🥰

thanks for confirming. I am doing this now to fix my taste issue with my cubes tasting like chlorine. Hopefully the undersink water filter I have will slow or even stop the process of this happening.

If I don't have an oven will boiling them in water work or putting them in an halogen oven or air fryer? Pls test these methods

Mine only smelled once. After I did this method they haven’t smelled since. If they do I’ll repeat it. I think it’s odor from food??

I didn’t say that. I did it once and haven’t had to do it since. But if need be I’ll do it again. It’s not a big deal to do this method.
