I'm glad to hear Robert do the Original Blues Version of this song. "It's Nobody's Fault but Mine" or "Nobody's Fault but Mine" is a song first recorded by gospel blues artist Blind Willie Johnson in 1927. It is a solo performance with Johnson singing and playing slide guitar. The song has been interpreted and recorded by numerous musicians in a variety of styles, including Led Zeppelin on their 1976 album Presence.

I watched this docu- performance on MTV years ago when album dropped,I was overwhelmed and my Grandma ( GOD REST HER SOUL) heard this song and started tapping her feet,I treasure that moment,thanks to PAGE/PLANT for making a wonderful memory!!

Its actually an old blues song not gospel
@br1rocks3 жыл бұрын
@@actionhanzmcpage7863 It’s a gospel blues song...there’s actually a ton of material from that era (up to the present day) that would be considered gospel blues. For example, some of Blind Willie’s other songs include “Jesus Is Coming Soon,” I Know His Blood Can Make Me Whole,” and “Church, I’m Finally Saved Today.” Lots of deep spirituality in the blues going back nearly a century. So it’s still accurate to call this a gospel song.

I noticed a question 'where's that slag heap?' I think they're referring to the beautiful blue slate of my homeland in Snowdonia North Wales also the location for Bron yr Aur cottage, great to have the slate of Blaenau Ffestiniog used as the back drop for such a great performance. Robert Plant has a home here in Wales and has lived in a various homes here for a very long time, For the international readers Wales is the bit to the left to what is now called England and retains what is left of the original Brythonic culture of the island of Britain pushed west and north over two thousand years, we have our own language but are constantly under pressure. Our flag can be found on Robert Plants boat in song remains the same, at that time he lived South East Wales.
