If Shadows did anything good for me personally, it’s demonstrate a textbook example of how to write the most smug, icky, crybaby, annoying, vengeful organism in a way that is so believable that it makes characters like AM from I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream look like Swiper the Fox from Dora the Explorer! (In actuality, I think Shadows reminds me of if the personality of Plankton was put into a live action version of Meat Canyon’s caricature of Mr. Beast. And it hurts me to say that because all of those things are 10 x better than Shadow’s video and his entire demeanor…which he seems to be intentionally crafting as demeaning…or maybe that’s just him. I dunno.)

It really looks like the most perfect parody troll video ever, but the fact he genuinely wanted to use this format, wear those clothes, (no offense to anyone who does that in general. Not everyone who looks like that or uses this format is inherently mean. This has been an absolutely wild ride for me. I first leaned about this fiasco from shoe's video, then I randomly came across Nux's Adventure Time videos (wonderful nostalgia trip that has been), and then I watched Administrative Results' video on this situation and when Nux showed up on the screen I had to do a double take. I don't know when we diverged from the main timeline, but with every day that passes I become more convinced we got the good one.

I look at Maulers community and I wish the political content creators are more like Maulers community. A few of his regular guests on Efap started off having some sort of beef/dissenting opinions with Mauler or some other regular, and they would go on stream and actually talk/ debate each other, without shouting, cutting people off and actually listen and give reasoned responses, and advancing the conversation.

I've grown up in the NC side of the Appalachian mountains and it more diverse than he makes it out to be it and after watching his video he shows that he is shelterd he talks about not hearing native stories or other folklore my town was very small so me and friends heards tons of folks stories about the mountin and it was a great time we all weren't white but we were all poor and this guy must have missed that connection

this is where it goes to show left vs right isn't a binary. (full disclosure, i lean lib right. i've just read up on some of this.) karl marx was radically pro-gun, specifically justifying it as the means to seize production, and insinuating it as being a way to ensure that neither the previous government can rise up, nor can a corrupt worker-instated government become powerful enough to repress the workers again most leftists seem to have lost the last part in translation. and the pro-gun radicals don't seem to get that the whole goal of the violence is to ensure individual workers can collectively govern themselves. marx's biggest failures in this are extreme naivete and failing to properly address what comes next after overthrowing (the power vacuum must be filled quickly, and the longer you delay, the more likely a rando can seize control and become a ruthless dictator). leninists, stalinists, and maoists forgot the final repression was supposed to be against the state only. and the bolshevik revolution fell into stalin's authoritarianism bc of the power vacuum problem.

43:20 - Definitely feel this. When I got called out with false stuff only 2 people believed me, and I was back stabbed by a few dozen others, until it came out as false. Now it's hard to look at the other people the same again even though I have to see them sometimes I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt if possible, but in the same vein it hurts when someone did something actually bad, but lied to me about their side

i've seen a few of muta's videos. his videos are actually decent, and his takes are consistently reasonable. people try to cancel him all the time, but he's effectively immune to their attempts. the most hilarious thing is he generally agrees with most of the us liberal left on a number of issues, including gender and sexuality.

He makes jokes about current day America, because Fallout is based on America going to nuclear war, and the show clearly had writers giving halfhearted defenses for Communism.
