Good solid review. find that pin and tap it with a hammer until the blades on that end are tight again. I would actually like more time with mine because the tools are hard to get out. Mine is built like a tank but, just like any low or high end tools there's always gonna be that one bad apple. As for sharpening, I have a passion for that, upkeep and the makeup of blade steels so that's just part of the process in the wide spectrum of steel quality.

Purchased this knife last month. Love it very much.Had to sharpen it but I enjoy sharpening knives.

I am only recently getting into carving and my mother(who is very out of touch on basically everything) recommended this knife instead of me getting the tools individually and one of your critiques was one of my worries. Which os the blade bring a bit wobbling which I wouldn't want to happen. But as a beginner tool for simplicity it is good I would say

I own the exact same knife and I love it!

I have both. The splinter is good enough. Just reshape the knive blade. Make it flat. And if you want to carve/whittle, you just have to know how to sharpen and strop. IMHO, It's not science, as many make it seem in there video's. So any decent whittler, who knows how to sharpen, can get this sharp enough, to do some relaxed whittling.

I just got mine today and middle brass pin is raised. Is that normal or is mine defective?

I remember when Old Timer made good quality knives.

Maybe u should change ur technique. I think the blade is just fine.

Don't waste your money. Blade quality is poor.😣
