This 114 year old NYC Tower has a crazy apartment at its very top! In fact it used to be the attic of the building, but now its a place unlike any other in New York City.
Thanks to Andrew and Jamin for the tour!

I think this is the first time ever that I can say, the price isn’t insane for what you get. I was expecting double that at least considering what smaller places we’ve been shown have cost. It’s an amazing place!

@@subwayjoefrombrooklyn4471 Many $0.5M to $1M places often have $1000-2000 HOA. So $9K for this place is not out of line. It's also a very old building and will require sizable money to maintain, upgrade, and insure which is what the HOA largely covers. Lastly remember this is Co-Op and not a condo so the standard rules don't apply.

Divided (although not equally) among four people, they'd average only $500,000 each, and in NYC in that prime location, you'd be lucky to find a good studio for that price. There's a vast amount of living space plus a couple of offices, so four people could easily keep out of each other's way. You have two flights of stairs, but that's not onerous, and you do have in-unit laundry. I rarely say this, but I'd call it a bargain for four people who really only have to share the kitchen. Buy it quick, 'cause this one will be gone by tomorrow!

$2M for 3000sq ft, 4-bed, 4-bath, Financial District, and VERY NEAR to Century 21? THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY!!! I like the feeling that the space is like a canvass, and one could easily and inexpensively get rid of the stuff which they don't like (which was all of it) and replace it with suitable and appropriate furnishings. Okay that loft/office area could have a higher ceiling but as it is I could still work with it. With all of that closet space I could easily have my own Century 21 in-house. This is a great deal. All of my money would go into renovations and keeping Century 21 in business...

@@MamaCarola1 I think... no, WOULD (given the price tag) even rip up the wood flooring and put wood flooring down much more suitable and especially to my liking. When you consider that the San Jose tract home that my parents bought in 1973 for $31,000 sold last year for $1.8 million, this price doesn't sound so bad. It's a piece of New York history and it's irreplaceable. This property will only go up in value. Now, of course, I'm dying to see the apartment above this one. Can you imagine being at eye level with those eagle statues and an even better view in all directions? That's what drives the price. If I were an investor, I'd buy this place and sit on it for about 7-8 years and hope that it doubles in price.

This is definitely 1 of the most unique places we've seen so far. I think it's definitely interesting but there's a few questions. Why is the kitchen so small? For as massive a place as it is it's also very basic. Do you have to bring the garbage down to a lower level? If c the elevator breaks down do the repair people come in to your place ? Are there any doors to the bedrooms? I love looking out the window & seeing all those gargoyles & copper roof. Definitely a unique feature but it's it really a penthouse if there's still another apartment above you? It's too bad the elevator doesn't take you directly into your apartment. Having to climb a flight or 2 of stairs makes it a semi walk-up. Space wise it's fantastic. Price wise I'm not surprised. I think i was just expecting a little more. It seems very sterile to me. Who knows, this may have already sold bcuz the video isn't really recent. Century 21 has been open for a while now
