In this video I talk about my experience seeing Oppenheimer in 70mm IMAX, and talk about the format as a whole.

I saw this in 70mm imax. After the movie, I was lucky enough to be invited into the projector room for the next showing. It was so cool being in the room as the movie was playing, the reel spinning, the projector going, it was such a cool experience. It's an independent theater, not AMC or anything which is why I'm guessing they let me in. Definitely a memory I'll have for life.

Your kidding!? Your so lucky. I went to an AMC and wasn't allowed to see the projection room. That had to have been such a cool experience. Im so jealous.

@@EvansMedia99 It was! The theater has a viewing area where you can look into the projector room. Lots of people came, took a few pictures, and left. I stayed for quite a while, long after everyone else had left, I'm guessing that's why they invited me in. But I was shocked when they invited me to come back when the next showing started. I thought they meant I could watch them from outside the room, not inside. It was awesome. I must have been in there for nearly an hour, the guy showed me all the equipment, the sound system, the liquid cooling system, he even let me operate the button for the lens wipe that wipes the lens when dust gets onto it! I definitely felt lucky as hell, I'm not sure how many people got to do all that, but I'm sure not many. That sucks your theater doesn't even let people see into the room though, our guys even set up a small table with a sample of the film reel, the splicer machine, and other things from the assembly just to make it extra cool.
