They were the best thing to happen to this show. Their dynamic is so funny and intense. Ruby and Otis are complete opposites who work well together. She makes him more confident, funny and sassy and he makes her more open and vulnerable. Also Mimi and Asa’s chemistry is top tier ❤️

I'd never thought that I'd say this, but I prefer Otis with Ruby over Maeve. They're so adorable, and I was upset that Ruby was just sidelined in the latter half of the season, just so we'd get more focus on Motis.

They just give off a chemistry that Maeve and Otis never gave. He’s a lot more confident, fun, and happy. Maeve and Otis don’t give me love it's giving drama and it feels like the only reason why Otis has this obsession for Maeve in my opinion is that he sees her as something to fix. Maeve has never even said she loved him.

@@jackreeves7 yeah, I think giving them a scene together after the breakup would have been quite nice to see, but I think they’re saving that for next season because otherwise it would just feel a bit weird, having them talk in one scene after the breakup and then never again for the rest of the season, especially since Ruby told Otis that she couldn’t be around him at the moment, if they were going to get back together the logical thing to do would be save all their interactions for next season rather than shoehorning it in at the end of this one, although having said that these writers are the masters of shoehorning stuff in and making it feel really unnatural (Motis gas station kiss immediately springs to mind)

I started shipping them in season 2 episode 7 when Otis and Ruby slept together and then went to buy the morning after pill. I saw the spark since there and it’s wholesome to see them together as a couple in season 3: from their secret love affair to Ruby kissing Otis in front of the whole school 😘. I would love to see them together again and to see Otis grow to love Ruby too with time or give them another chance and time to Otis feelings for her to grow.

In such short time, they became far better people. So much potential and chemistry between them. Otis finally had confidence and had alot more fun. Ruby started showing her true colours and was happier and carefree. They bought out the best in eachother. Do the right thing and BRING THEM BACK!

Yeah even Emma apparently wants Maeve and Aimee together instead, I think the only cast member I have seen say they still preferred Otis and Maeve after season 3 is Chaneil (Anwar) in an interview with Mimi, but even he said that Otis and Ruby were still cute together (admittedly after Mimi had shamed him for saying that with her sat next to him 😂😂)

@@xxcris20xx At the end of the day I'm team Otis. Motis was great for 2 seasons, but they dropped the ball on S3. Rotis ruled S3 and Motis was flat. As it stands at the end of S3, I like Rotis more, but I'm willing to give S4 a chance to bring me back on the Motis ship.

@@Purv_soni951 nah, I didn’t really get the hype for Adam this season, don’t get me wrong he was a good character but I don’t really get the amount of hype around him, if anything I like the fact him and Eric broke up, Eric has literally cheated on both the boyfriends he’s had on the show so Adam was going to get hurt sooner or later. I’d rather them get it out the way so Adam doesn’t feel like he wasted so much time on Eric and get even more hurt. The scene with Otis and Ruby on the other hand nearly made me cry, and I have no idea why, you could show me the saddest scene in tv history that isn’t this scene and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid, but for some reason I just can’t bear to rewatch that bit.

The thing is that they wrote this relationship so well and the actors did such a fantastic job that it kind of plays against the story of the show, cause now you don't really want Otis to be with Maeve as much as before, which means that the eventual payoff won't be as satisfying

Rotis is just superior! Their off the charts chemistry, the fast physical burn with the slow burn emotional connection! The way they make eachother better. Otis becomes more confident, sexier, lighter, Ruby becomes more vulnerable, more empathic, allows her walls to come down. Plus how funny they are together, their interactions are gold. They are way better as a couple. Otis is in love with the idea of Maeve that he doesn’t allow himself to see what’s right in front of him. I hope for more Rotis in season 4. Maybe jealous Otis?!

She had standards because of the image she sold at school of the popular mean girl, but as soon as he said that he wasn't confortable with those clothes and said to her that if she really liked him she would have to accept him like he is, she immediatly said yes. Plus as soon as they arrived to school, holding his hand and her friends ask her what is he wearing, she replies, "i think we should all wear whatever we want from now on". They grew together, Ruby grew as a character. If you're too blind by a ship, to see it, then there's not much that I can do. You either have the ability to watch the storyline in the bigger picture or you're just square minded. And that's your problem.

I prefer Otis-Ruby since season 2 episode 7. The bike scene was adorable. Otis is more confident and happier when he is with Ruby. The bowling scene with Adam and Eric was fun (episode 3 is the best episode in season 3) Last, When Ruby's dad said Otis this...Otis that...Damn...that's really cute

4:41 I like how when they talk and Ruby is trying to save face, Otis doesn’t even have to say a word. He just looks at her and she opens up and admits how she really feels. I feel like Otis is one of the only ppl that can see Ruby for who she really is and is definitely the only person she cares enough for to reveal to him her true thoughts and the reality of her life

I was a Motis shipper from the beginning but Rotis is not only more interesting and fun, but also a MUCH healthier relationship. As I grow up I realize Otis is more really just obsessed with Maeve and sees her as a manic pixie dream girl. They were angsty and toxic, as first loves are allowed to be, but I hope this show goes a more interesting and non-traditional route and allows the natural development of the characters to happen instead of sticking to some pre-written endgame.

Ikr! Even in the interviews they did together they couldn’t stop finishing each other’s sentences, I think the reason they work so well together is because the actors have the same chemistry as the characters, but just as friends instead. Watching the interviews from seasons 1 and 2 with Asa and Emma I wouldn’t blame you for thinking they were siblings or something with the way they were talking to each other. I think that’s partly the reason why Otis and Maeve’s scenes seemed a bit forced to me, because the actors are such good friends on and off set it was probably a lot more awkward for them than it was for Asa and Mimi because Mimi has never really had a hugely important role until now so they probably rarely talked when they weren’t on set.

the chemistry……I love them so much ima need them to fix it in season four bc it will be a wasted potential if they don’t end up together especially when they were able to capture so many hearts with the limited scenes they had. They had like 3 episodes worth of their relationship and yet they became the IT couple, if you have it you have it! they have to capitalize on how popular this ship has become, a lot are already expecting great things from season four and I can honestly see it having a season five if they play their cards right.

I love Maeve but I DESPERATELY wanted Otis and Ruby to work out. She finally trusted someone enough to open up and reveal sides of herself you would never have assumed were there. They were brief but beautiful. Will be missed.

For some reason it turned out way better than it was supposed to be. Otis have crazy chemistry with both Ruby and Maeve. Ruby starting out as a very stereotypical girl when we got to know the real her it was impossible not to love her. The writers created some amazing characters and romances (I believe) accidentally.

It’s quite explainable. Otis is the protagonist of this show so we kinda watch it through his lenses or at least routing for him. Now whilst we know how much he loves Maeves and want to see him happy, we also realise how much Ruby loves him. And it’s quite a difference. It’s a choice of loving or being loved

I think you confused the seasons, but in this episode you mentioned (S01 E07) there is a scene that goes by very quickly, with Ruby looking at Otis at the school dance, it's there at the very end

From the start of the season, I thought Maeve and Otis are perfect and even it got concreted with few more episodes but as Ruby enters into the play ( life of Otis ) , perception completely changed. How Ruby cared for Otis , How she used to think about him everytime and wanted no one to be in between them. It seems so perfect. Isn't It ?? Hope in season 4 , we could see Ruby again in the play.
