Part 2 of the videos with this one specifically for fitting the pannier racks and the tail rack on to the Yamaha Tenere 700.
If you want to watch a day full of frustrations and perseverance, then this is the video for you. If you want a professional "how to", look elsewhere.
Lockdown madness!

Thank you very much for the two videos of mounting the Outback Motortek accessories. You are more complete than the American brand. In the 1st video we see which screws must be removed under the headlight and in the second the washer to be added at the pillion pegs. Thank you. And google translates English more easily than American !

@@Life2ontour I tried to install the lower crash bars. And I have a problem. I can climb the left side, but not the right side. It is the big 17 mm screw on the motor which does not want to screw. Did you have problems on your two motorcycles ?

@@patricelopez3583 We did find they were tight and hard to get going. A fair bit of swearing to get the bolts al to catch. On the right side, we had to remove the side panel for one bike, just to get the angle to remove the Yamaha bolt. We did find getting the 17 bolt to catch before the smaller allen key bolts was the way to go. Having a second pair of hands also helped BIG time! I really don't want to take them off again...

I considered removing the pillion pegs when I put on my mono rack, but then realised they actually will offer a degree of protection in a fall over, bending a peg might be cheaper than what lies behind it. Also finding a disappointing amount of dry un-greased bolts!!!

We did try to remove the pillion pegs but the bikes were then too long and the plate did not sit flat - it would need a blank. Hindsight, leaving them on is the best thing to do and in addition to your reason (good one), we figured that IF we needed to ride pillion (bike in the workshop or breakdown in Africa), we could. Also provides a mounting point for any straps etc. Grease is obviously a commodity in short supply, in Yamaha...

@@Life2ontour Can't believe I don't get a notification for your reply! I'll be going through the various bolts the longer I own mine, grease is the word apparently but like you say, not at Yamaha!!!! Weird that seeing as everything else is just so! Lots of accessories still to buy, lots of money being spent haha ... Anyway, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback. The pannier rails and rack are different purchases but fit together well. I would provide a link but I can't get the website to load... It is just a quick Google away, with Outback listing by bike. Have fun spending money. :-)

Are those the symmetrical or asymmetrical version?

Hi Franz - they are the symmetrical racks - we have a tool box fitted in the non-exhaust side. Could also be a good place for a Rotax pack. Cheers,
