I have a subscriber who was stationed at the old Subic Bay Navel Base. I was given a flash drive with over 1,500 photos dating back as far as 1945 - 1991. I wanted to share these photos with the world. To me this is history of not only the Philippines but also U.S.A. military involvement here in The Philippines.

Thanks for sharing. I was born and raised in Olongapo City and joined the US NAVY in 1984. My parents were both employed in Subic and numerous number of relatives. This brings a lot memories.

Thanks Brian for the photo series. Great to see my old squadron VMFA-232 @11:21. Probably one of times I was on deployment out of Iwakuni, Japan 1970-1971. Worked the radars on these guys. I forget how beautiful the Philippine countryside is and of course the ladies.

Some great photos. I bet that some amazing life-long memories were had, not only for each guy that sent in a photo, but everyone on their vessels. I had to laugh at the opening part about the #1 C Sucker, etc. that you added a second time later in the video. Man, that's something else. Like I said before, some beautiful girls, but not the kind I would want. Well done, Brian.

i was hoping to see my dad and my mom in some of these picture's he was a marine stationed at Subic and she was a bar girl he feel in love with and married he was there in 77 i think i was born in 81 on Clark any way love the old photos

@ Kuya Dan and family, If your folks able still traveling maybe your both parents and your family could revisit Subic Bay. Me and my two younger siblings were navy brats while our dad was in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1982. His last duty was serving on the Uss Coral Sea from 1975-1982. We lived in one of the cities in Silicon Valley California ever since 1969 i was born a year after.

Great videos Brian! I was surprised that we didn't see any photos of USS Forrestal CV59. It was a ship that was brought to Subic in August 1967 for repairs from a major fire on 29 July 1967. there we're 134 deaths and 161 injured. Maybe you could do a vlog about this disaster in memory of the fallen and injured. My Uncle was on board at the time. He was not injured.

I saw the New Jersey among the many photographs. I just saw her yesterday moored in Camden while driving along Delaware Ave. along Penn’s Landing.I still refuse to call it Columbus Boulevard.

LOL, The Brown Fox was the first place stopped at before the night or day on the town for us Seabees for 9 months 82,83. Have a couple of beers and then usually go our separate ways and then end up up at the Flimore East to get hammered. Then end up at the girlfriends house at some point. I was lucky and only made it back to the base late one morning. LOL 😂, great times and memories I still have.
