McKinnon was asked after the game and told the reporter that the team practiced those scenarios every week all year (when to go down inbounds instead of going for the score), it absolutely is a credit to Andy that they played the end of the game correctly.

I dont think itll be that bad bc i mean the eagles went into the half up 10, and ended up losing in all three phases in the 2nd half. Offense only put up 11 points and a jalen fumble return td, defense gave up 17 points (24 minus the fumble return), and special teams gave up a 4th quarter 65 yard punt return

Not at all. I was rooting for the Eagles but the Chiefs and Mahomes were definitely the more dominant team in the second half I can’t hate. Mahomes for being injured played amazing. Had the game played out and the Chiefs still won I wouldn’t have been mad. The problem is this was such a good game that it deserved to go all the way to end the right way. Decided by the players not a call by the refs that wouldn’t have changed the outcome of the play regardless. If this game went into overtime history would have been made. When the Eagles scores the two point conversion the tension went through the roof and everyone couldn’t wait to see how it played out. That called robbed everyone from seeing an amazing game play out like it should have. Regardless though the Chiefs played a great game nobody even Eagles fans should be denying that.

I think the over/under for the next ten years of his career should be set at 1. I’m an Eagles fan who loved Andy and was destroyed when he was fired. Sill love the guy but can’t see him coaching more than a couple more years. And after that, who the hell knows what the Chiefs will do? They could fall off a cliff, or they could do what the Packers/Rodgers and Saints/Brees did - go a decade without winning another.

38 points in 24 minutes. Mahomes didn’t even have the ball for most of the first half. Chiefs got a TD called back, and had a missed field goal. Mahomes had No sacks, no turnovers, almost perfect passer rating in the second half. Give this team their credit. NO ONE HAD THEM MAKING THE PLAYOFFS. Cry harder 😂

They did the same with the bills. Demanded the rules be changed because the bills deserved a chance to score. They didn't care when the Chiefs complained about the rule but once it favored the Chiefs then they changed it.

Was it really a hole though? Aren’t you allowed to make contact in the first 5 yards Milana scrimmage? Was his route impeded at all really? Was the ball vastly overthrown? There’s no need for a flag. It literally change the game by ending it.

@@OCDustin Yes it was really a hold.. the Refs say it was a hold, the player being held said it was a hold, the player who commit the Hold said it was a hold. IT WAS A HOLD. Also Mahomes could have thrown the ball out of the stadium and a hold can still be called, the ball does not need to be catchable

That one penalty isn't why the Eagles lost. You could also say that the Hurts fumble is why they lost. The Eagles didn't make enough plays and the defense couldn't get a stop in the 2nd half.

Yeah, I was just thinking something like that. It was a difficult decision to make as the defender who just got beat, and no time to make the decision. Don't hold, and the Chiefs get a TD, and then you give the dominant Eagles O and the surging Chiefs D one more time to go at it. At that point, who knows? I don't fault Bradberry for it, and I'd like to hope that if I were an Eagles fan I'd feel the same way. But he chose to pull the jersey, and the ref did his job. And the rest was time management, and hoping that Butker doesn't miss again.

Let's be honest about Hurts' rushing TDs, a few years ago they would be illegal and the play soon will be again. It's called Aiding the Runner and it used to be a penalty just like throwing the ball forward twice. This is modern football, not rugby.

You can't write the Eagles back into it for next year. Eagles have 19 players to resign including several starters like Fletcher Cox, Hargrave, Gardner-Johnson, Jason Kelce and Miles Sanders. It's going to be interesting to see how Roseman handles this offseason.

Sanders and Cox won’t be resigned. Kelce might retire and they drafted his replacement. Hargrave and Chauncey should be resigned. Two first round picks this year and a destination for free agents. If Roseman keeps doing Roseman things they’ll be fine

Even statistically Mahomes was better. He had a QBR of 96. He only had one incompletion in the 2nd half and it was a throw away. Jalen was amazing, but not better than Pat.

I agree with Rich you can't give the guy MVP when he muffed the ball onto the turf resulting in a defensive TD. Odds are Eagles win the game if that play never happens.

The defense gave up a score in EVERY possession in the second half. Special Teams gave up the longest punt return in SB history. Who hurt their team the most? 🙄🙄

@@NoneYa831 It's funny how the Chiefs keep getting them. They got a LOT of them at the end of the AFC Championship and they got one at the end of the Super Bowl. Mad props to KC for a solid offensive gameplan and for negating a dominant Eagles defense -- but despite the Eagles having their worst defensive game of the season and Hurts spotting the Chiefs a TD everyone knows what would have happened if the Eagles were given the ball with 1:45 and two timeouts. I know, you know, and Pat Mahomes knows the Eagles would have won. Thanks to the refs the better team didn't win the Super Bowl -- the luckier team did. Chiefs fans should recognize that.

@@someoneelse1 sorry man I don’t buy into the scripted/paying the refs if that’s what your getting at.. Bengals game I 100% agree with the call. Mahomes was 4 ft out of bounds when he got shoved. I didn’t like the call last night.. I wanted it to play out. Being a person who has played sports a clear cut win is the best feeling in the world. But you have to keep it out of the hands of the refs and play a completely clean game especially at the end

And yes-Mahomes was better than Hurts-here’s why: A. He had the ball for 12 less minutes, scored almost as much. B. Hurts had a lot of yards come from deep balls the Chiefs were giving up to stop the run. There’s a real chance he doesn’t have that many yards, but the Eagles rush for 200 if they defend differently C. He had the drop 6 and actually put the ball into harms way several times, almost getting picked off a few times and throwing into double coverage. He was lights out. But Mahomes was Mahomes when he needed to be…

Philly RT committed 3-illegal procedures in the first half. Two of the 3 resulted in huge plays, 1 of them lead directly to a Philly TD, and no flags. Then in the second half, the same RT is warned he will be flagged and he cleaned his act up. So stop this holding call ruined the game. wrong. KC was already in FG range = 45 yard FG, not only that, even if they called no Holding, KC still had 1 down left, and the clock would have been drawn down under 1 min left, and 60 yards for Philly to go. KC was clearly playing way better than Philly in the second half.
