Greetings to all participants commented here. To clear any doubts, the main character in American Psycho wears Seiko SNXJ. The remastered movie version clarifies that. The watch have 7s26 day-date complication, where the datejust has date only.

Correct. They originally wanted a two-tone Rolex Datejust and it was interpreted as such and his line in bed with the two ladies was originally supposed was supposed to say "Don't touch the Rolex" however Rolex did not approve and it was changed to "Don't touch the watch".

I just picked up my first 1601 and I’m still learning everything I can about it. I’m still struggling to identify the correct bracelet to buy to make it period accurate. Seems the end links should be 55. I believe the watch is either 1968 or 1971 depending on which website you reference and I’m still not sure which jubilee to get. Do you recommend 6251h or 62510h? Thank you for the videos I’ve learned a decent amount from your videos. Now I might need to get a 2 tone DJ to go with my steel one because of you. Hope you are enjoying your new acquisition.

The Swiss folded 6251H or the oval USA jubilee is the one you want. Rolex switched to the solid end "D Link" 62510H around 1975. What's the first three digits of your serial number?

@@24hourgmtchannel64 which site are you using to verify it? I have had some sites say 1971 others 1968. I will refer to which you think is the most accurate. Is there a benefit to oval over folded links?

@@espionage3 I use two www.collectors1946.com/pages/rolex-serial-numbers and www.minus4plus6.com/numbers.php . Most other's are off IMO.

Punctuation police here - you really must get rid of that apostrope in the title ("Datejust's"), it's very, very wrong.
