In this video I travelled to the glorious Snowdonia National Park where I paddled across the stunning Llyn Dinas. After a spot of lunch and a brew, I hiked up into the hills in search of a wild camping spot to set up a a tarp tent for the night.
I hope that you enjoy the video and as always, many thanks for watching.
Cheers, J.

Oh my, what an absolutely glorious opening scene! Not sure if it could ever get any calmer with that reflection! Perfect start to a great adventure...only gets better from here! Looks snug as a bug in a rug...just for mostly sleeping anyway...got to live life on the outside. Stunning! ...and can't go too wrong with anything chocolate. Take great care now and thanks for the adventure!

Lol that bacon roll was so good it left you speechless😂 and well timed with the cukcoo too! Good job with the gear, it's hard enough without a packraft. Loved the mirror image of the landscape in the lake, what a contrast of the two days, one stunning yet also nice to wake up to the patter of rain. Stunning scenery Jason and great vid mate, very enjoyable, especially that mmmmmm when you ate that roll. Take care.

Thank you Chris 👍. Yeah, bacon is probably one of my favourite camping foods 🥓. Great spot on the cuckoo too mate. I didn't notice it until editing. It was busy doing it's thing most of the time I was on the hill. The lake was absolutely gorgeous. Would be a fantastic spot for fishing. Maybe another time. Many thanks again mate. Atb, J 👍.

Really great trip and film Jason mate. Loved it 👍. Using the pack raft for what it's meant for . Epic scenery and like you said, well worth the effort to get up there. I don't like the tarp tents myself because of that condensation. Always worth a try though. I think I get even more condensation with Billydog in with me as well lol 😃. Cracking film mate. We need more of these Jason 🙂👍. Get some planned. Atb fella Rick n Billy

Cheers Rick, I really appreciate that mate 👍. Yeah, the tarp tent would definitely build up with more condensation with yourself and Billy dog, for sure. Loved this trip and I'm really looking forward to doing more in the future. Many thanks again Rick and I hope that you have a great weekend mate. Atb, J 👍.

This was an epic flashback for me china. August 97, four of the lads from my Uni OTC on a AT weekend to Snowdon, I had the worst babalas this oak had ever had hitherto. We made it up to the top in just over 2 hours, I had a spew as I recall before racing down again. I think we did it in less than 4 hours total but my word I was in a bad place for it. Too many shumba's the night before. This was one of the many visits to the region, cracking part of the UK and one that I miss equally with Aviemore in Scotland. You did the place proud with the editing and shots. Hats off china, tabbing up there with that gear and a little extra timber in the tank, thats enough for me to tip the hat. We are not young boys any more. Sadly lol.

Sounds like you've enjoyed many an adventure Moose. All great stuff. Just love Snowdonia. You can still find a couple of really rugged locations that aren't so popular with the masses. Brilliant location. I remember skiing in Aveimore once, back when they used to get some really good snowfall. Was absolutely stunning. Yeah, definitely not young men anymore. The mind is still very willing but unfortunately the body not so much, lol. I've tried to reply to a couple of your earlier comments Moose but for the life of me YT isn't playing ball. I'll try to get to them via the laptop later. Many thanks again for the fantastic comments mate 👍.

Yes, many adventures china, sadly the body is broken but on the mend, Ill be back at it next year. Just getting over spinal fusion surgery from two weeks ago lol. So these vids are really inspiring.

@@MOOSEDOWNUNDER Ah mate! Sorry to hear about your back. I truly hope that you have a complete recovery soon. My best buddy is up for the same procedure soon. He's been struggling with his back and trying to endure the pain for quite a while now. I hope that you heal soon and manage to get back out to enjoy what you love doing the most. Take care buddy and many thanks again. Atvb, J 👍.

@@SandybackOutdoors Thanks china. Its pretty straight forward these days hey, tell your oak he will be fine. Take it bloody easy at first, he will feel great as no deep bone pain but thats where we all screw up, we run before crawling. Baby steps and lots of rest for him. Ill be back out there mate, no doubt about it. Already padding 200 meters a day up the orchard lol.

Really good outing Jason - good feelings from start to finish. I was impressed with how small the raft packed down but as you say still 4KG. I've thought of getting one to hike the big hills then packraft the Wye. Well, awesome up top there - yeah a good investment. Thanks Jason. All the best. Mark

Cheers Mark. I'm really enjoying using the packraft. It's a great bit of kit but you definitely feel those extra 4KG as soon as you hit the contour lines. Hope that you have a great weekend. Atb, J 👍.

Some really stunning scenery. Do your feet get wet wading in the shallows or do you have some special liners? The Bergan looked enormous, but I guess the Tarp saved some weight over a tent. Great effort clambering up there with a Packraft,

Hi Robert, it really is a stunning place. I've got an old pair of gortex socks that I wear when I'm out with the packraft and they fit like a glove. Not 100% waterproof but they definitely help quite a lot. The Robert toggle looks interesting. I'll definitely give it a try after your next vid on a camp sometime. Take care mate. Atb, J 👍.
