Delicious creamy spinach gravy with no artificial green colour. Use ice in cold water while blanching palak/spinach to preserve the natural green colour. Iron, protein and calcium rich main course dish. Serve with hot rotis, phulkas, chapatis. A fast and easy recipe that can also be made for tiffins.
The onions and garlic can be optional and not used for a Jain version.
Palak paneer | पालक पनीर -- Serves 2-3
Ingredients | साहित्य
Half a bunch of Spinach leaves | अर्धी जुडी पालक
Water and Ice for Blanching spinach | पालक शिजवायला पाणी आणि बर्फ
1 finely chopped small onion | बारीक चिरलेला १ छोटा कांदा
1 Garlic clove | १ लसणाची पाकळी
Green chillies as per taste | हिरवी मिरची चवीनुसार
1 table spoon rice flour | १ टेबलस्पून तांदुळाचे पीठ
2 to 3 table spoons fresh cream | २ ते ३ टेबलस्पून दुधावरची साय
1 to 2 table spoons oil | १ ते २ टेबलस्पून तेल
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds | अर्धा टीस्पून जिरे
Some asafoetida | थोडे हिंग
1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder | १/८ टीस्पून हळद
125 gm paneer cut into cubes | १२५ ग्राम पनीर चे तुकडे
Salt to taste | चवीनुसार मीठ
Little sugar | थोडी साखर
1/4 teaspoon Kitchen king masala | १/४ टीस्पून किचन किंग मसाला
