Build Updates:
NEW 3.14 CHANGES:
Toxic Rain:
- Toxic Rain's spore pod spread range is now affected by Area of Effect modifiers. This means that having higher Area of Effect causes the resulting spore pods to spread out more.
- In short stacking AoE is good for clear and bad for single target. The full extent of this change and its impact on DPS is not currently known.
- As a result you may want to drop Carcass Jack may dropped in favour of the defensive Kintsugi! Carcass Jack may still be worth using for significantly improved clear speed.
- Running Concentrated Effect may now be desirable against bosses to condense the spore pods. Consider swapping this in for testing.
- 3 new Toxic Rain setups have been added. One for early endgame, one with concentrated effect and one for heavily invested endgame.
- Each Spore Pod now applies 5% less Movement Speed to nearby Enemies (previously 10%), to a maximum of 30% (previously 60%).
- Enemies will be slowed a lot less heavily now.
Gems:
- Flesh and Stone was increased to 35% mana reservation. As a result it has been dropped. We already have plenty of evade chance, it won't be necessary.
- In its place I've added Aspect of the Spider. Which slows enemies significantly and increases the damage they take. Get this as a suffix on one of your rare items!
- As a result of this change several minor skills have been shuffled around.
Clusters:
- Several Cluster Jewel notables were nerfed. Most notably Wicked Pall.
- This has been just enough of a power cut for me to say: don't bother with Cluster Jewels until you are ready to min max heavily. It will achieve slightly more offensive power but comes at a cost.
- The Core tree featuring Thread of Hope achieves nearly the same DPS and pushes more life, mana regen and charge generation. Stick with this one.
Miscellaneous:
- I've also taken the time to update many pieces of gear and further improve the skill trees.
TLDR:
- Toxic Rain is almost certainly fine damage wise. But has a weaker slowing debuff and may be a bit jankier.
- Understanding how to properly min max Toxic Rain for damage will take some testing post nerf.
- The cluster tree was nerfed to the point that it's about even with the core skill tree.
- Flesh and Stone was replaced with Aspect of the Spider.
OLD CHANGES:
- Blood Rage has been added for consistent Frenzy Charge generation.
- A Thread of Hope unique jewel with a very large radius has been added. Allowing us to pick up several powerful nodes, most notably the entire Potency of Will cluster. This results in a solid damage increase.
- Constitution, an additional jewel socket and Exceptional Performance have all been added.
- No Witnesses has been picked up.
- Wind Dancer has also been allocated to further improve our defenses.
