Brilliantly content as usual Pete , I remember putting cast iron sectional boilers together with my dad the same way as the rads . Unfortunately he passed away a couple of years ago but this video bought back some good memories 🙏 cheers Pete , keep the vids coming 👍👍👍

Hi guys, used to do quite a few cast rads in the "old days" Its always a good idea to give the nipples another tighten once you stand the radiator up .

Hi Pete, great video, I’ve fitted quite a few cast radiators like these, only had the assembly kit once for fitting them, the customers didn’t bother hiring all the kit because it quite expensive apparently, I always used ptfe and jet paste, never had any leaks……touch wood, You have to watch your back because theses radiators are very heavy indeed, thanks for sharing, take care.

Great job as per usual Pete 👌🏻 did notice use didn’t use the depth stop on the long pole going through the rads didn’t cast rads supply it? Makes it so much easier.

Those cast radiators are mint - my mrs would love the bee details too! Glad we have UFH or if she saw those she'd be getting Ideas, which inevitably cost me a small (or not so small) fortune, like the absurdly expensive tiles she wants in the new shower.

@richardlewis5316
@richardlewis5316 Жыл бұрын
Re the app. Whenever a customer asks for additional work on a job which has been priced the customer is told what the extra cost will be so every evening I add this cost to the rolling invoice. No need for an app which is just another complication for a simple business.I often send and email confirming the additional costs
@Sparks1Plumbers0
@Sparks1Plumbers0 Жыл бұрын
On the contrary... I'd say the app is a handy tool. All too often when you give your final invoice to your customer they feign a memory lapse when it come to these 'extra works' and with thd app you can print off or email them complete record [with photos too]. So all in all a great tool to add to your business 🤔

Blimey... that tooling to fit the rad sections together looks like something stolen off a plant fitter. Massively over engineered 3/4" drive extensions, tommy bar and impact socket, way over the top..I heard the assembly kits were over £500... I can see why now. 1/2" or even 3/8" drive would do the job just as well at 1/4 of the price. Nice assembly detail there and nice to see an owner who has deep pockets to allow fitting these beauties.. How was the retaining rose fixed back to the wall? single screw in the centre?

Brian May was a world-famous rock guitarist, but he was also a man of simple tastes. He liked to spend his free time at home, tinkering with his guitars and playing with his cats. One day, Brian was working on a new guitar when he smelled something foul. It was a sharp, acrid smell that made his nose wrinkle and his eyes water. He followed the smell to the bathroom, where he found a puddle of yellow piss on the floor. Brian was disgusted. He couldn't believe that someone would pee on his floor. He cleaned up the mess and then went to find out who had done it. Brian asked his wife, Anita, but she said she didn't know anything about it. He asked his cats, but they just meowed at him. Brian was starting to get frustrated. He didn't know who had peed on his floor, and he didn't know how to get rid of the smell. He decided to call a plumber. The plumber came over and took a look at the bathroom. He sniffed the puddle of piss and then shook his head. "This is infected piss," he said. "It's coming from somewhere in your plumbing." Brian was horrified. He didn't know how infected piss could have gotten into his plumbing, but he knew it had to be fixed. The plumber spent the next few hours working on the plumbing. When he was finished, he told Brian that the problem was fixed. Brian was relieved. He thanked the plumber and then went back into the bathroom. He took a deep breath and was relieved to find that the smell of infected piss was gone. Brian was still curious about how infected piss had gotten into his plumbing. He called a plumber friend of his and asked him about it. Brian's friend explained that infected piss could come from a number of sources. It could come from a sick person who had peed in the toilet. It could also come from a dead animal that had been flushed down the toilet. Brian was disgusted. He didn't know which of those things had happened in his bathroom, but he was glad that the problem was fixed. He went back to work on his guitar, and he soon forgot all about the infected piss.
