Kejimkujik National Park is beautiful year round, but seems extra special in the fall. One of the best things about exploring the park in shoulder seasons is the lack of crowds. We had all the trails we explored pretty much to ourselves!
Kejimkujik has lots of hiking and canoeing opportunities and is dog friendly. Remember, being a National Park, leashes are required and as always please clean up after your pet.
Some things to consider when visiting in the off season: not all facilities are open. Washrooms at places like the public beach are not always open, the visitor centre and gift store may be closed or have reduced hours, as may the canteen. Camping is open in the park until the end of October, so campground facilities are open.
Fall is also a great time to spot wildlife. It is an active time of year for many animals, and with less human activity you may see more than you would in the busy summer season.
