Good to see you back again and the Peak District through your eyes (or lens). It’s always so nice to be taken on a friendly chatty walk with you. Here’s to more as and when the mood takes you!

Thanks Catherine. It’s been great to get back out again with the camera. Surprised I still remembered what to do as it had been such a long time!

Great to see you back posting videos. Hope you are well. I live the roaches and Luds church

Thanks Kevin. It’s a stunning area isn’t it? I’ll try and get back during the week next time I go. I’d love to experience Lud’s church when no one else is there. It’s a fantastic place

I never expected that many people to be up there considering the cold weather. Those in that water must be mental especially as running water is colder. It's a wonder they didn't get hypothermia. Nice to see you back though and congrats on your one thousand subs plus. Cheers.

Hi Kelly. Thanks for watching. No idea what the fascination is with swimming in those temperatures. I felt cold fully clothed on that day!

Hi Anthony- life gets busy and UTube is only a small part of it so it’s good to take some time out when required. It is great to see you back and what you share does encourage a lot of people including me 👍

Thanks Richard. Great to hear the videos are helpful. So are yours, I’m very tempted to do my own stealth camp soon. I’ve even got a few potential places in mind that I’ve scoped out

Hi Anthony, it’s great to have you back, missed your videos! That is a great area, I have really enjoyed exploring the Western Peak in the past 5 years having concentrated on the rest for many years and have more to explore there, I love it! Luds Church for me is like the chasm Khazad Dum from the Lord of the Rings, I expect to encounter a Balrog there one day 🤣It’s an amazing place that I must revisit soon. Huge congratulations on 1000 subscribers, it is a great achievement. It’s been great seeing the channel grow. Hope life gets easier for you in 2022 and look forward to the next video 👍

Thanks Greg. Lud’s church is amazing isn’t it. Not really seen anything else like it before. The colours are so vibrant even in winter. Things are settling down now thanks so I’m hoping to get out and about with the camera a bit more this year. Appreciate the support as always 😊

Hey Anthony, great to see you back out and about with the camera, I really enjoy your take on things, and as a proud subscriber to your channel I can happily confirm I do watch your films without a knife held to my throat!! 🤣

Haha. Thanks Maurice. It;s nice to hear that at least one person isn’t being forced into watching the videos! Even my daughter watches them under duress 😂

Great to see you back out Anthony, no need to apologise! It's important to step back and take a break for a little while. This is actually one of the few hikes I've done, the Roaches are spectacular and Luds church is epic as well. Found it quite busy but it's easy to see why it attracts the crowds! Still have yet to do three shires head, I do want to swim in it, but probably in a bit warmer weather!
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom. I remember you saying you’d visited the Roaches before. Three Shires Head certainly looks like a popular swimming spot. Definitely one for the summer though 🥶

Great to see you back Mr Johnson 👍 I’ve had the roaches on my list for a while but still haven’t been 🤦♂️
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Definitely worth the drive over Ben. It’s absolutely fantastic but sooooo busy. Choose mid-week in winter during a monsoon and you might just get the place to yourself though!

Hello Anthony - I am glad you are back I thought you might have gone to the Pennine Way in the sky !!! But No you are back !!! I have also had a crap year (the worst in my 61 years so I know what you mean. Anyway I hope you are ok and keep enjoying your walks. Keep going old boy and Take Care. Howard.
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Hello Howard. Fortunately, I’ve not yet gone to Pennine Way heaven! Hopefully, that’s a few years away yet 🙂. Sorry to hear 2021 wasn’t great. Let’s hope we both have a better 2022. Thanks for watching 👍

Well I didn't snigger at all Anthony when you said Tittesworth Reservoir....... 🤣🤣🤣 I'm not sure myself what the correct pronunciation is, but I'm sure you're right. Nice to see you back on a walk again, and you can't go wrong with the Roaches, etc. another fab part of the Peak District. I remember you saying to me recently you've had a break from filming and not wanting the pressure of capturing footage, so it is good to enjoy walks at times without the camera. Congrats on passing 1,000 subs too! I'm sure no-one has been held at knife-point when watching your travels! 🙂 Have a good week Anthony and hope you didn't freeze too much by the time you got back to your car! 😁
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Haha. Thanks Patrick. Pronunciation of place names isn’t my forte. A few people picked on my bad attempts during the Pennine away adventure 😀. I notice you have your own landmark achievement to celebrate with reaching 5k subs recently. Very well done too. You’ll soon be famous 😀

Excellent. I’d love to go back to Greg’s Hut. It’s a fab little bothy. Hope there was plenty of food left there for you. It was like a mini supermarket in there when I went in during the Pennine Way

Great video Ant, good to see you back. Looked very muddy in places. Must remember to take your Speedos next time so you can have a dip in the stream! Fair to say you're not a Harry Potter fan, good job we're Nottingham Forest fans, hoped you enjoyed yesterday as much as I did.
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave. Loved the footy yesterday thanks. I’d rather sit through the Gary Megson era at Forest again that watch Harry Potter 😆

Hi Anthony! Nice circuit👍 Never done this as single hike, but they are three stunning places! I'm with you on the crowds though...definitely one for midweek👍😁

Hi Des. Most definitely a midweek walk. I’d really like to do Lud’s church on a quiet day. The beauty of that place always amazes me

Hi AJ, Great video. I did a walk in this year last year & loved every minute of it. Also the little tea room next to Hen Cloud is very good too. I didn’t make it as far as Three Shires Head. xx
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rachel. It’s a lovely area to walk isn’t it? I’ve not visited that tea room yet. Assuming they do nice cake? If so, I’ll be there next time 🙂

I've always wanted to visit Flash on account of its altitude status. I bagged the highest point of the Roaches a few years back but as time was limited I wasn't able to explore the wider area. Well done on the 1000 subs too. 👍
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris. There’s a nice little church in Flash which might be worth a look. Car parking charges around the Roaches are very expensive so being a tight arse, I’d rather walk the 3 miles from Flash! Thanks for watching. Hope you are well?

Nice to see you out with the camera again Anthony. I totally get where your coming from in terms of not feeling it. Life isn’t always easy and sometimes their are other priorities that sit above creating KZfaq content. Always wanted to visit Luds church, looks a great place to explore, you certainly picked a busy day. Congratulations on reaching 1k subscribers. Well done.
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much. I’d definitely like to go back to Luds church midweek. Would be great to visit on a quieter day. I’d highly recommend going if you get the chance 👍

Hello Nigel. It was good to get back out with the camera. I’d almost forgot what to do 🙈. Hopefully you’ll get to the Roaches one day! Will be worth it despite the 10 year wait 😆

Good morning and nice to hear from you Anthony, glad you are well 😊 a classis PD walk indeed, and a beauty! Life will always come before YT and that's that, never any need to apologise, appreciate you have been busy 🤗 Brilliant veiws and the Roaches looked great, easy to see why it's such a popular place and the same with Luds Church 👍 Everywhere is at mud-defcon-level 5 currently. Fair play to the swimmers 🥶 🏊♂️ Glad you enjoyed the walk Ant, gratz on 1k subscribers! Catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Hi Ceri and Kat. Thanks for the lovely comments as always. It is extremely muddy at the moment that’s for sure. Need wellies rather than hiking boots! Don;t forget your swimming gear if you ever come walking in this area. Way too cold for me…….. and I also can’t swim so there’s a good chance I’d die if I ever had a go!

Great to see you out again Anthony. Certainly relate to what you said about lifes obstacles and not feeling it as much lately. Think my last upload was about 3 months ago and the one before was almost a year 🤯. Anyways, great vid, I hope you are well mate. Take care. Si 🤠

Thanks Rob. There is absolutely no way I’d have got in that water. Well maybe for a hefty financial reward I’d have considered it but that’s about all 😆. It was nice to be back out with the camera again. Thanks for watching 🙂

Great video Anthony! Fantastic to see you back in front of the camera. It’s a brilliant walk that is, definitely best to do in the winter when it’s a bit quieter. Congrats on passing 1000 subscribers, an amazing achievement and because of that achievement I’ll let the Harry Potter comments slide just this once 😂 (one of the best movie series of all time)haha. Great to see you back 👍

Hi Anthony, nice to see you our and about and well done on your subs. Which way did you approach Three Shires Head? X
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Hi Lou and Lol. I walked over from Flash via Black Brook nature reserve. It’s a nice quiet but boggy walk over before you hit the crowds on the Roaches
@ramblingracheltrailtales2 жыл бұрын
I noticed your wearing a Garmin mini-in reach. Is it any good? xx
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Fortunately, I’ve not really had to use it yet. I originally got it for the Pennine Way as I knew I’d be out of phone signal range for long periods of time. You can choose a pay as you go monthly service which is good so I only subscribe when I’m going to places where I’d need a means of summoning help in an emergency situation
