Fresh the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie edit I teamed up with Kai Patterson (of The Patterson Cut fame - A.K.A the famous Kenobi movie edit) to create a BOBA FETT movie fan edit. This Boba Fett edit tells the story of The Book of Boba Fett in chronological order across a two-part story, that also weaves in relevant backstory and character moments from The Mandalorian.
You can watch Kai’s own explanation of our Boba Fett movie edit here: www.tiktok.com/@kaipattersonf...
Obviously, this is a fan creation that’s entirely non-profit, and done out of love for Star Wars and these characters.

HOW TO WATCH THE PATTERSON/PENTEX BOBA FETT MOVIE EDIT
** Update (Jan 2023) - Sadly, Kai's website is down. Even if it goes back up there is no guarantee he will be able to share the fan edits there any more. If there are any updates on making the Boba Fett movies available again, we will be sure to keep you updated on our respective Twitter accounts (links above). To all of you who watched it and enjoyed Boba Fett - thank you as always for your support, and may the Force be with you. **
Please responsibly support the fan editing community and the series’ original creators, and only view fan edits of films and TV shows for which you already have a legally purchased copy. For this, that means a full Disney+ subscription.
After feedback from our last edits, we have made sure subtitles are available in English, Spanish, French, German and Chinese for our fan edits right from the start, so they can be enjoyed by a more global Star Wars community.
If you would like to watch the edit Kai Patterson and I have made of Boba Fett (again, only if you have a Disney+ subscription) you can visit Kai’s website here for all the information: www.kaipattersonfilms.com/fan...
ONE MORE THING…
If you liked this edit, or our Kenobi ones, and want to show your support, the best thing you can do is to subscribe and follow us on our various social channels to keep up with our latest projects.

If you have a Disney+ subscription and want to watch the edit, the details of how to do that are all in the video description. Huge thanks again to Kai Patterson for this collab. Instead of pitting our Kenobi edits against one another in a duel of the fates, it was so great to instead join forces and make something collaboratively. Make sure you check out his Tiktok about the Boba Fett edit too, and all of his other awesome work.

this edit of Boba Fett makes me think this is why Disney is suddenly looking to get back into SW movies... This was SO much better than the original show. Definitely a shame that this isn't the official Boba Fett movie. It made every character feel more serious and enjoyable. Great job on a difficult task!

Its pretty good. Only gripes is that the timeline is a bit off. It makes it seem like boba was a slave for years and only joined their tribe for a couple of days. IMO the mando stuff should've only began intersecting after the tribal dance. Still a great edit.

@@someguy9496 that’s what I did in the first draft but it felt really weird for Mando to just show up randomly in the story. So we opted for better story structure instead of more accurate timeline.

@@justadummy8076 Even if D+ and D/Lucas could admit their mistakes...it might not feel right to delete parts of their own footage from these streaming shows. _Unless_ they wanted to try out another re-cut experiment similar to what Netflix did with Season 4 of Arrested Development, when they turned 15 episodes into 22 to show us events in chronological order, instead of retelling different parts of the same story from different points of view. That is why I personally think Disney+ should not post Kai Patterson's or Pentex's film re-cuts of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi or Ahsoka, unless they really think that cutting out filler to make them short enough for a film is the way to get more viewers to watch their streaming stories. However, if the rest of Disney-Lucasfilm's workers and studio managers like what their VFX artist PixelJoker95 did to re-edit Obi-Wan Kenobi into the epic film that it should have been, they should totally add Kenobi: Trials of the Master to Disney+! Disney+ needs Trials of the Master for the same reason HBOmax needed the Zack Snyder cut of the Justice League: because more fans of Star Wars and The Justice League will watch a better version of a mediocre production when the story naturally flows better, and the visual effects look more impressive and less cheap. So, i just finished both of your Bobba Fett movies. Book 1 was great. It really played well and the edits made the content much more enjoyable. Book 2 on the other hand did not feel like a film or even a complete movie. It just felt like parts of episodes of a TV show. I guess I was just hoping that the Book of Bobba Fett : book 2 was going to focus more on Bobba. Unfortunately there just isn't enough story about Bobba in the original show. Your project was extremely enjoyable and I am so glad that I watched them and I( will recommend all fans watch these. You did a great job! I hope Disney learns from these mistakes and focuses on more story before they start shooting another season of the show

The 50's hot rod chrome swoops have been changed! Nice! That really took me out of the series. This edit reminds me of something another KZfaqr said, that flashbacks need to have an iron clad purpose. By splitting it, those flashbacks that didn't work so well now become foreshadowing, lessons learned that will be used later. Well done!

These are the ones I will be playing to my friends who love the originals and after sequel trilogy said they will never watch anything new star wars again !!! LOVE IT so much !!! Next you could really do the sequel trilogy some honours and trimmed it down, so it’s watchable for second time. There are some amazing cuts out there but just bits and pieces here on youtube are really working. I know that doing the sequel trilogy and reworking it is big job and Disney didn’t know what they were doing but fans would kill for proper movies like you have done here ! There is the ending, here on the internet with all the jedi appearing as ghosts and anakin seems to be the last ghost to give palpatine the last blow though ray , and that is the exact ending the sequels needed. “Help us fan editors you are our only hope..”

Incredible edit, again! The story changes really help the flow of it all, and Mando's story is more cleanly woven alongside Boba's. Controversial(?) opinion though: you didn't need to change the hot rods. If Naboo can have bright yellow and silver fighters, and Coruscant it's colourful hovercars, then nothing is stopping the Mods from having equally flashy bikes.

I have just finished the first film. The first half of this film was incredible. I loved the chronological sequencing, as well as the intercut with Mandalorian. I felt more connected to Boba Fett, Cobb Vanth, and Fennec Shand. You could feel the devastation and desperation of these characters and understand the reasoning behind their choices. It felt like there was a lot more at stake. The relationship between Boba and the Tuskens was highlighted beautifully. Their loss hit much harder than in the show. The sequencing made much more sense and made connections I didn't pick up until now. Whilst I know these films don't replace watching The Mandalorian, I felt that the film's last half (season 2 of The Mandalorian) needed to be clearer and lost much of its impact. The characters introduced at the end of Part 1: Without a Tribe (Ahsoka, Bo-Katan, Cara Dune, Moff Gideon) felt out of place as they had little context and no time to develop meaningful connections with other characters. Din felt two-dimensional in this version. The Mandalorian Creed wasn't mentioned, and there was no conflict between Din and Bo-Katan's beliefs, meaning that the impact of Din removing his helmet and saying goodbye to Grogu was lost along with the cut footage. Disappointed Moff Gideon wasn't more of a feature (as the main villain of Mando), although the Grogu storyline was a bit lost as the film transitioned from season 1 of Mando into season 2. The film brushed over the fact Grogu is Jedi. I felt it should've been mentioned, even in one scene, before they met Ahsoka. Also sad we lost the "you have something I want" speech from Gideon. Din's callback to that in the final episode of season 2 was brilliant. These choices, whilst understandable, made the last few scenes (especially as Boba Fett isn't even in them) feel lacking. Despite this, I loved the first film and am keen to watch the second. Grateful to have people like you in the fandom who love Star Wars and want to see the show in another light. Thank you so much. Well done!
